Hmmm. P8S phase 2 is now the first Savage wing I've done this tier where we can get all the way to the end, nobody dies, and still fall short of the DPS check. Guess I'll just keep rerolling Party Finder parties until I land a set where all the DPS are ready to clear it.
If your melee doesn't know, you want to lb3 at the end of high concept 2, before the rez + buff happens. The damage up doesn't affect limit break so it's better to "lose" pre-buff gcds lbing
Yeah, they were doing that and still falling behind by like 2% on those runs. Even with itemlevel 625+ required to join the PF. I kept a checklist of what the boss HP should be, to stay on par, at various points.
89% - Start of NA1
76% - Start of HC1
69% - Start of LD
59% - Start of NA2
42% - Start of HC2
38% - Start of last phase/end of rez cutscene
5% - Start of enrage cast
If HC2 starts and we're still at 44%, the LB3 hasn't come into play yet anyway, that's just slightly lower raid DPS than there should be.
the only part about this arc with Jullus I like so far is that the Garleans know they can't do a single thing to hurt or stop you, so they don't even try

No real spoilers here for Shadowbringer, but is there a way to get Quinfort (the guy from the forest that likes serpents) into the Scions? Would I have to give up one of them, or could he just join? Would I have to bring his pink haired friend?

The pink haired friend is his Squidward. They’re a package deal.
I’ve always compared the whole “Great Serpent of Ronka” to the Magic Conch Shell.
Ran the new dungeon 3x in story mode and got the minion and the umbrella that are displayed in the patch notes. Not sure if super lucky, or just super high drop rate. At any rate, it's an interesting concept and I'm looking forward to delving further into the minutia of it.
craftable from rare materials that were added to level 90 treasure map loot, probably. That's usually where new crafted fashion gear comes from. It'll be super expensive on the marketboard for a while, and probably normalize at around 500k-1m gil in a month
just looked up the model on the marketboard, somebody's already making a columbo alt to use it I bet

So is that trenchcoat gangster outfit in the new dungeon or is it craftable or what
Each run of the variant dungeon gets you 3 Sil'dihn Potsherds, which can be exchanged for items.
You need 72 for the full Noir set (24 runs, or each route twice I guess), 3 for the Sil'dihn Earring (neat little thing with the Sil'dihn sigil but no big deal), and 9 for the /wow emote.
Each run of ASS (Another Sil'dih Subterrane, IIRC Extreme difficulty) gives 4 Sildihn Silver, with the shop items for that being...
8 (2 runs) for the Sil'dih Survey Framer's Kit
100 (25 runs) for the Sil'dihn Throne mount
8 (2 runs) for the Desert Sun Orchestrion Roll
2 for level 9 combat materia
4 for level 10 combat materia
I dunno what ASS (Savage) gets, though. I don't know if anyone has managed to grind through ASSS with no wipes yet?
(Also the Silkie mount is for getting all 12 endings in the variant dungeon.)

ASS (Savage) looks like an absolute nightmare though, to the point where I question what the devs were thinking.
It's a four-boss dungeon and each boss has mechanics comparable to Extreme/Savage raid bosses (in terms of tells and fatality of mechanics) but with dungeon boss length, so 3-4 minutes. There are trash sections between the 1st and 2nd and 2nd and 3rd bosses. That's all great -- no issues there.
HOWEVER
Every time you wipe at any point you start over from the very beginning of the dungeon, and after a certain # of wipes the trash starts to get tougher and more dangerous, and it starts out tough enough that WF raiders couldn't double pull it.
ALSO
You get no rezzes in or out of combat. So if a single person dies to a trash mob or at the very end of the 3rd boss, you wipe and reset.
I love the idea of Savage-difficulty content you can do with four people, but going through 12+ minutes of dangerous bosses + trash to prog the fourth boss is some Ultimate shit -- but even Ultimate has checkpoints!
variant is also not really like a normal dungeon, you can go in with 1-4 players and it scales to your party size, you get bonus actions to fill in roles you don't have, and there's 12 endings to find based on what you do inside and some of them have secret conditions it seems like

Normal and Savage both have similarities to DRS. Normal doesn't have you restart, but there's a limit on rezzing. Savage resets you, but you can't rez at ALL throughout the entire dungeon.
I think Normal is closer to something like DRS, because you can make a lot of mistakes in DRS and still clear. Savage is pretty binary in that one misstep and you're back at the beginning.
Delubrum Reginae Savage, its a harder mode of the Bozja Alliance Raid from Shadowbringers. It's a 24-48 man raid where you can't rez other players by normal means, but can with certain lost actions or healer limit break.

It's not that evil - instead it's just a hard enrage on the entire dungeon from the moment you pull the first enemy.
Sewer-dweller
After a certain amount of time has passed since first engaging enemies in the criterion dungeon, all enemies will be granted the Sewer-dweller effect, greatly increasing their damage dealt while also reducing their damage taken.
*The time until Sewer-dweller is applied to enemies will be reset should all party members be incapacitated.
On the bright side, at least the enrage timer doesn't persist across wipes?
I think the idea is that you should just treat the entire dungeon as one huge encounter
I don't think that the timer is particularly tight, I think it's just meant to discourage the practice of waiting for cooldowns to come up before very single pull.

Savage gives you a title for clearing it. (Infamy of Sil'dih)
I got 7 of them myself before getting stumped and having to resort to a guide. I think I could have figured a couple more out, but... at least two would have definitely evaded me.
I was happy enough to get into the Nald & Thal room by myself, but I still don't know how you're supposed to figure out that you need to kill the drakes in that order. I mean, I guess that one room having five unique mobs is suspicious, but beyond that, I dunno. The emote sequence I also wouldn't have figured out, but I did see in the lore logs where it mentions that.

What's the best setup for trying these solo? I attempted solo yesterday, starting as DRG but swapping to GNB before realizing that the default skills they give you are useless for soloing (I really don't think I need enmity generation if I'm by myself...)
I got as far as the default right-right boss before just getting tired of smashing my face against it and dying all the time. I just got bored.

Rampart, heal, spirit dart, take whichever two your role is allowed.

As tank you want to take the AoE DoT and the HoT. Make ample use of your defensive cooldowns. You should apply your AoE DoT to all mobs as soon as possible, it's a lot more DPS than whatever you can churn out on your own. It'll be slower than going with a group, but you should be fine.
What's your iLevel at, though? Especially your weapon can make a big difference.
I'm not spoilering myself on the routes yet, so this applies to what I think is the right>right route, but solo WAR doesn't need any of the special actions. The heal action came in handy when learning the last boss mechanics, but if you're able to figure it out a little faster than I did, you probably won't need it.

lame, viera no wear the trenchcoat fedora >:(
I kinda stopped playing and let my sub run out two weeks after 6.2 dropped, but I think this is enough to get me back in.
I should actually kill p8s I guess too, did two lockouts in week 1 and then never went back because work left me drained.
Operate from the assumption that no headwear will be visible, and then only be pleasently surprised when it does happen.
