uhhh I mean that at least is up to you. Zenos doesn’t approach you with an appeal to your morals or a threat, he says “ain’t no way you did all this and don’t enjoy fighting” and you can reply “yeah true” and fight him for no other reason than the fight.
Because even with that aid, we don't fight him because it's what he wants; we fight him because it's what the world needs. One way or another, he's done too much and hurt too many people to be allowed to return to the planet.
So like... he helps us save the universe for the sake of his duel, but the fight happens for a different reason than as a favor for his service. It's almost like, a weird coincidence?

Nah Zenos was cybernetically and genetically enhanced by the smartest garlemald scientists with allagan technology to be the best possible sex haver imaginable. He just doesn't care about anyone enough to bother.

if you read the short story where he meets yotsuyu she (a sex worker at the time! literally being paid to seduce him!) is like "wow this guy does not gaf. and I don't even think this is a gender thing I just think he has 0 interest in sex at all."

somewhat of an aside of my own WoL:
Illyria viewed Zenos as yet another very annoying obstacle between her and getting back to her garden & cooking. Most of her story has been, "I joined the Lancer's Guild sure to help post-Calamity after I dropped out of Arcanist school for being too ADHD to live, and then things just kind of kept getting out of hand from there?"
(eventually she got so sick of the fighting and the death and the bullshit that she straight up post Endwalker went to Feo Ul and was like "ok, put me into some kind of fairytale princess sleep. uhhh... you can let my Esteem, my Anima, and my Voidsent Avatar drive my body around I guess if anybody actually needs anything. But I'm fucking done, give me a dreamscape island paradise where I can have a dream version of Haurchefant and Ysayle. I'll wake up when I can forgive myself. Maybe.")
