I watched the first minute of that maid anime because the thumbnail looked intersting and that 1985 scene made me laugh my ass off and then end the episode and stop watching, in that order.
Speaking of Oshi no Ko, the artist (Mengo) manages to draw tons of fanart for other series in her spare time, in addition to drawing a chapter of Oshi no Ko every week.
She's a huge fan of Chainsaw Man and My Hero Academia. A few days ago I think she also drew the characters from Pop Team Epic.

i love the new episode and do not love the new op/ed. really generic contemporary anime styled, takes away a lot of the personality iruma 1 and 2 had; hope that doesn't indicate a blandness of the season as a whole

Iruma-kun arcs and character development should be firing on all cylinders from here on out. The mangaka only got better as the series progressed.

Will be interesting to see if the anime adaption of Iruma can fix the pacing the the next arc because things were a bit wonky in the manga with that arc. I'd say the issue is that the mangaka tried to develop a few too many characters in it. It's still solid content though and the other does actually continue using some of the characters that were introduced.
The Spider anime was great when the Spider was on screen.
If the Spider was not on screen, then it was still okay if the characters on screen were talking about the Spider.
If the characters on screen didn't even know the Spider existed it wasn't very good though.
Basically, the Spider is Homer's ideas for improving the Poochy episodes of Itchy & Scratchy actualized.
The problem with Spider anime is that Spider and specially her VA pretty much hard carry that show. Which is fine, top props for her, but it does means that the rest of it is, uh, kinda mediocre.

The spider anime was bad because when the spider wasn't on the screen everything about the show was dire.
