Well, mostly it's just he's played quite a few games andhas made Smash-related jokes/skits on his Youtube channel. There's not a super-strong connection between him and Meta Knight in particular. It's more so a general "yeah I could see him adding/going along with a joke" kinda thing.
Man, Metroid Prime Remastered is some kinda magic.
Obviously starting with a base game that has (control specific issues aside, for obvious reasons) stood the test of time, is a good starting point.
But how good it looks and how flawlessly it runs?
One might almost be lead to believe that the Switch still has some tricks up its sleeve.
Because if this is the visual quality and performance we could expect from a MP4? Sure! Sounds great!
Obviously it doesn't compete with stuff you can get on the PS5 or whatever, but it was never going to.
But I played the whole thing on a 75in 4k tv and the only times I felt like "eeeeh starting to show it's age" were two specific areas: the landing zone where you can tell it's just a "box", and the crater ruins right adjacent to it, similar problem.
Either way, I hope to god they have MP2 and 3 all upgraded ready for some shadow drops over the next year or two until MP4 shows up.
Wow. Advance Wars is re-proving itself to be one of those games that can go on for hours at a time if you let it. I’m in one of the last battles in AW2 (Great Sea Battle), and it’s no joke been taking me hours to get through it. It’s not a knock on the game; my victory is inevitable, but my opponent is just really good at turtling up and I have to control 3 armies in sequence, so it adds up. It’s just, it’s been a while since I played a game like this where hours can disappear and feel like 20 minutes.
I bought Super Dungeon Maker for €15,- and it's a very fun little Zelda clone game where you can make your own dungeons a la Mario Maker.
It has some fun power ups, enemies, bosses and triggers, but it could have way more. The maker promises there will be added content (and bug fixes) later on.
Be warned however, it's also missing a few quality of life additions like copy paste and grid selection. It has a few bugs with doors as well, so check if they still work if you altered a room.
Right now, it's a solid 6,5 with 9 out if 10 for potential if they keep adding to it.

@MNC Dover Regarding the May Day shenanigan in Animal Crossing: Time travel is a thing that I fully support in cases like that.
Turn off the internet-sync’d time, and set your Switch to April 30. Load up her AC island. Save/quit, then make it May 1. When she loads May 1 again, it should allow her to do the event again.

So in the original Advance Wars, big bad Sturm had a pretty famously goofy sprite. His big scary Darth Vader-adjacent robot mask had a weird tube mouth that made him look like a cartoon octopus head. And one of his sprites for dialogue/battle reactions had him blowing a big plume of smoke out of that snout.
Reboot Camp uses the AW2 design for Sturm in both games (without the octopus snout), but I think Wayforward snuck in a cheeky reference to that old sprite. When Sturm uses his Super CO Power, the attack-call animation has him flex his big robot fist, launching smoke out of the joints, and then a big plume of black smoke bursts out of the mouth of his evil robot mask. I can’t help but laugh a bit at it thinking of his old sprite.
Alright, almost done with BotW. Got my motorcycle, which is rad! Although the control scheme makes horseback, uh, bikeback? Combat nearly impossible. Which is not the worst in the world. Got 113 shrines, gonna use a guide to find the last 7, and then it's finally time to storm the castle!
Either way, I hope to god they have MP2 and 3 all upgraded ready for some shadow drops over the next year or two until MP4 shows up.
If the leaks are correct, Nintendo saw how the remaster was shaping up and moved the entire team directly to Metroid Prime 4 ASAP.
I'm not even sure which is the preferable move at this point.
Will Metroid Prime 4 become Half Life 3 or Duke Nukem Forever at this stage?
I'm joking, I think.
Ehhh it's got Nintendo oversight, so it can never turn into Duke Nukem Forever, pretty sure. I'm not even sure what the story with it is, they had a developer and after x years said "NOPE!" threw it all out and what, got Retro on it?

I still really kinda hate how late in the game you get the motorcycle. It was especially bad for me as I had 100% finished all the regular shrines before starting the last DLC, so I had this shiny new ride, and literally nowhere to go. But even if I do another playthrough, I'm not gonna 100% the shrines again, so by the time I can get the bike on that playthrough, there's still nowhere to ride it but straight to Hyrule Castle.
I'm sure there's probably some kind of cheat if you play it on an emulator, but I wish there were a way to unlock it earlier on my legit copy of the game.
Yeah I finished the beasts basically after I was done with everything else, so I got it really late as well. That's the open world brainbug that I have, and even Zelda couldn't cure it.
And tbf, the horses have the riding music, that alone still makes them superior
When I played through BoTW again this year I got the bike ASAP after clearing the Divine Beasts. It was handy in Death Mountain and the Gerudo & Hebra mountains.
Sadly it can't be summoned in the desert for some reason.

It'd break most of it, because of the sandseal stuff. Same reason you can't summon your horse
The kitties assessing the Nintendo entertainment center backsplash I made while the space is emptied out until that TV gets repaired. (Ordered the LED light array strips to get that done today too)
My daughter (6) is a huge fan of Super Mario 3D World. We unlocked Bowser"s big castle last night, wherein Bowser reveals that he, too, has a Super Bell and becomes Cat Bowser.
Me: "Okay, gotta admit, Cat Bowser is amusing."
Her: "Don't you mean ameowsing?"
I'm usually Captain Backlog, and even in the rare times I buy a game day one, I generally don't start playing the same day.
I just finished Like a Dragon: Ishin early. Most of my other games are long narrative-heavy things I don't want to abandon midway through, especially as long as TotK will likely be.
What should I do with the next four days? Play Tetris or something? Read a book?

Polish up the Switch preparing it for a mass overload of gaming time.
5 more days until Zelda. I can make it... I can make it...
My wife's Switch just preloaded it today (since she forgot to do it last Friday when she got her e-mail). She's chill about waiting and here I am dying to play it.
I maintain that it is a crime that I can not buy an amiibo of the queen of my heart, Urbosa, without buying a set
scandalous!
Didn't they rerelease them individually a while ago, or was only in Japan? I honestly can't remember, just that I was happy that I didn't have to pay resellers for a set and they were individually packaged.
I *think* i'm allowed to talk about this as long as i'm not pirating anything; after re-reading the forum rules; tell me if i'm not and i'll remove.
I'm kinda shocked. My launch switch has finally started to give up the ghost; it runs but crashes randomly; frequently. And i just bought and got an hour into xenoblade chronicles 3..and had trouble justifying buying a new one when the hardware is so outdated....So i followed a guide to dump my firmware and the game; installed yuzu on my desktop pc and...holy shit it literally looks 10x better upscaled to 4k AND runs at 60 fps vs the barely 30, dropping lower frequently i was getting on the switch...I should have switched ages ago o.O It's just in every way in the few hours i've played so far a superior experience to playing on my switch. I'll probably still buy a replacement oled switch but I think i'm going to dump all my games that i don't play multiplayer and play them on PC.

I suspect that the success of Metroid Dread will keep that from happening, if nothing else.
