the oots forums are interpreting it (and the previous strip) as
someone impersonating Julia.
could be, I guess. I don't follow the strip closely enough to have a working knowledge of how Julia is supposed to sound
Redcloak's a cleric, can they do illusions? This would be a pretty good way to get a list of what he's about to be up against.
You could also read it straight, that a sister would simply forget about an important day for her brother and be unwilling to admit it and then jump on the lifeline tossed to her that she was young
Idk, the same thing happens within my family from time to time

In two strips, she hasn't made fun of her brother once. This is pretty out of character for her. Even when they're on good terms, they still use sibling-insults to communicate.

Also
she's been asking a lot of leading questions regarding Roy's plans and situation. Sounds like she's phishing him for info

I'd also point out that she has been shown to be just as intelligent as Roy. So forgetting stuff is very un D&D-ish for smart folks.
I feel like this theory has legs but I'm not certain on it yet.
Webcomics can take like a week to show a conversation that would take less than two minutes in real life. It's why I kinda try and wait til one is over before I make up my mind about its results, I suppose.
And also each comic needs to end on some form of resolution or cliffhanger. So

She did say she wanted to help in earlier appearances so that's not necessarily out of character. Something does have to be up with her and the idea of an impersonation makes the most sense to me. I'm guessing it's not Redcloak. I can't really put together the why in the how when factoring in what he definitely knows and doesn't know.
Roy's father maybe? He has a history of the sort of thing and definitely was not at Roy's audition. Although I can't remember why they're not communicating.
