When I got our oldest cats, Cassandra and Alistair, Zach wasn't yet living with me, and at the time I was a very heavy sleeper. So I imagine there were many times one or both of them tried meowing at me to wake up (and probably also batting and jumping on me) and feed them and it just didn't work. Zach is a very light sleeper, but by the time he had moved in a month or so after I adopted them, they had already learned that there's nothing you can do to wake humans up so they never tried it on him.

Ferrah starts at 5 AM on average every day and will not stop until my parents are up. If they try to ignore her she will find the place with the best acoustics right outside their bedroom door and begin her performance.
If I'm house-sitting though she won't do any of that, because she knows I sleep heavy and won't wake up no matter how loud she gets.
I'd just like to apologize in advance for any tech-based apocalypses I may be directly or indirectly responsible for in the future, as I can't help but aggressively ignore the framing in GC and support Kat in her endeavor to escape the weakness of her flesh.
