And it acts like Pokemon Go Plus except it also works for Pokemon Sleep (which means you press a button, set it next to you, and go to sleep... when you wake up you press the button to stop recording) and also allows you to change from using regular poke balls to great or ultra balls when using it for Pokemon Go.

POKEMON SLEEP LIVES. And it'll help you get a Snorlax wearing a nightcap in Pokemon Go! There's also a new physical Pokemon Go + thingy which connects between the two. Not sure how it all works; I'm going from a Twitter recap of the presentation.
The Go Plus+ is literally a Gotcha. Took them seven years to finally support auto catching and spinning haha... They also said you can now use great and ultra balls to catch (not sure if that is gonna be a universal thing or exclusive to the Plus+? Also this would have been nice when I literally worked on top of two pokestops and was swimming in all three ball types... bah)
I think I've only seen one or two gold pokestops. Is that event still happening?
I haven't seen any since Dratini community day (that's when it was, right? I forget.. one of those community days). They were around for like a week after that and then never saw them again. I assume they'll be coming back now tho.
Also ironically I JUST bought a new Gotcha Classic to replace my old Gotcha so I kinda sorta don't wanna get this new thing? Would have considered it if they announced it about a month ago :P (or like years ago when they should have just embraced auto catching :P) I literally don't care about the costumes so if I miss sleeping hat Snorlax, oh well.

Also I just noticed on my way back from lunch they actually updated the Settings menu to not be a cluttered ass mess. It's like, actually somewhat easy to use now! I really hope the remote raid change isn't a thing because they've been actually FINALLY improving this game after like seven years and I'd hate to quit (but I totally will if they limit my remote raids)
I very much dislike that the leaks were true. Kinda meh, though I'm ok with March CD (CDC is bleh tho...)

Yeah I've been noticing that too. Before this I was like "shit that's a Johto mon, gotta make sure I catch that one!" because jesus there were like none (Hoenn tour didn't help and gen 1 is ALWAYS overrepresented). But yeah, been seeing a lot more this morning. So maybe step 1 of masterwork won't take forever.
I haven't gotten the Melmetal yet but I doubt it'll be better than my lvl 50 93% lucky shiny I'll have to see if this new move is any good and/or worth elite TMing onto him (right now he's setup for pvp so lightning stuff and superpower as second move). TBH I would have probably skipped the research if I didn't actually just enjoy doing them so much. The rewards don't really stand out to me as that great, though I do always like avatar items (these are so-so, I dunno if they really fit my character but I love to mix and match so maybe something will work)
Actually ok with this, I don't have any shiny slowpokes. They are one of those shit shinies but their evos are good (they are a nightmare to find in SV). But yeah, that leak was definitely accurate.

My friend is just finally getting into Pokemon Go because of the Vivillon thing for SV. I so wish there was remote trading - I'd love to trade them some stuff to help them out but they live really far away T_T (and/or like, gift them pokeballs or something somehow... they ran out pretty fast )
On the plus side, someone on my friends list must be on vacation because hello postcard from Fiji! Why yes, I WOULD like an Ocean pattern Vivillon! (also TIL that not all of France is Meadow pattern T_T I sent a postcard over and got a dupe Marine pattern in Violet... boooo... apparently I picked the France postcard that was too close to Spain ironically :P).
Also wishing I had saved one of the three Tundra postcards I've gotten (because that was a pain as it was). It's the only pattern (besides Sandstorm and previously Ocean before the Fiji thing) that I didn't have in my postcard book already to send to SV. Sandstorm still an absolute nightmare tho. Only pattern I have 0 progress on

Yeah, I've been trying that for awhile now. Every Sandstorm code I find is "friends list full" or it's just a thread of people begging for Sandstorm friend codes because everyone is having this problem. Apparently no one plays PoGo in the middle east I have managed to add a couple who I think are in SS locations but they haven't sent any presents at all. *sigh* It's really frustrating. Ocean is annoying but at least people play PoGo in Hawaii so I'm 2/3 on that one.

There were plenty of raids in my mid-sized city at 11, but the servers were melting down and people were having trouble getting in raids. I was busy at that time, so I decided to hit the 2 p.m. wave.
According to folks in my Facebook group (who did major looking around), there was a grand total of ONE Regidrago raid in the entire city. Just, what. Good thing I managed to catch the bastard.
Weird, everything was fine for me. I did 11am and then went to get lunch and by the time I was done figured might as well do 2pm too. I heard that the distribution was really fucked up tho, like there were a million 11ams and then barely any others. It seemed OK here but there were definitely a lot at 11am.
It helped he was absolutely a joke to beat (like 2-manable with reasonable counters aka "I have dragon and ice and fairy types")

Also, I FINALLY got the last Ocean postcard I needed so (plus bonus hundo):

Ironically the only way I even got Sandstorm pattern was because I clicked Modern pattern on one of those friend code sites on a whim and saw one listed as being in Saudi Arabia... I think the fact he wasn't getting an entire friends list full of requests meant he actually sent me postcards (the last ocean postcard was thanks to begging on reddit.. Like "I need ONE and then you can totally delete me if you want" :P)
The plus side of having to grind four Pokemon to best buddy status, which will likely take me another month and a half, is that they've really cranked up the Smeargle appearance rates. I'm getting a ton of that little artist's candy.

Curious about the research. I imagine something to do with the theme of the season. Is there a specific pokemon that makes sense for that theme ala Cosmog last time? I'll have to think about it... Yeah, that happened while you were away. It coincided with the Ous raids, so in theory it was doable. But plenty of people didn't raid them, and only later realized they missed out on it. The quest happened like three years ago, and to this day the local Facebook page keeps getting occasional "where do I find Landorus to finish the quest" posts.
