Who is the Best Animorph?
I've done this thread before but I want to see everyone's answers in 2022. We're keeping it to the core six this time, however, if they didn't get their own book they are INELIGIBLE. If you don't know any of these characters I will NOT be providing context!!!

Because whomst among us cannot identify with a child struggling to reconcile what they were taught by society with the cruel realities of the world.
Definitely no parallels there at all.
Let me just quote the "Nightmare Fuel" entries for the series on TVTropes:
---
The fate of David, the sixth Animorph. He turns against the Animorphs, so the team decides to trap him in rat form and leave him on an island with dozens of other rats. People boating by months later could still hear him mind-screaming. Not to mention that Rachel and Ax are forced to wait the two hours with him to make sure he's stuck. As Rachel said, you can't block out thought-speak, and she notes that she would hear his screams and pleads and threats.
---
In The Predator Marco describes Jake morphing into a lobster and his face "exploding" into valves. "I think I would have thrown up, seeing that. Except that I, also, had no mouth."
---
In the Yeerk pool, the humans whose Yeerks are feeding in the pool are put in cages. Most of them either cry, scream, curse, or rage at the guards, but some just sit there in silence, and wait to be called back, because they have literally lost all hope of ever being free again.
The graphic novels are good, but they're coming out at such a slow pace that I don't believe they'll ever finish the series.
Give me the cliffs notes for this young adults book series

Fuck Joe Manchin
Alien mind slugs invade, a power rangers-sized group of kids find alien technology from the a crashed ship of the mind slugs enemies that lets them transform into any animal they touch (but if they don't turn back in two hours they get stuck). They try to free the planet.

I've never been able to get rid of them:
No idea what happens after book #18 (I think I stopped subbing to my schools books club) but I've heard shits wild after that.
i think marco is underrated but i still can't choose him as best
but no, fuck it, always pick the insane fighter
And become increasingly mentally scarred and/or ruthless in the process!
Here's the four-hour run down:

Edit: Can't vouch for whether these guys are assholes or not, though. They do drop the r-word within the first two minutes though, so be warned.
That's the one that drops the r word really early on? I didn't watch past that, so dunno the overall tone.
Lord Ravenscroft has a less story specific but more character focused breakdown, currently at like 4 parts

Literally the first book he's the one to trigger the "stay morphed for too long and you will never be able to turn back" feature of the power. It takes a literal god-like being to enable him to morph again and that's after the suicidal ideations and solid attempt from the dysphoria that comes of animal instincts clashing with human mind.
buddy there's a forty-five minute video on Club PA where I talk mostly non-stop about Animorphs and it could have easily been longer
