Combining retweeting a really tired attempted corporate meme, retweeting some wallstreetbets account, and likening an advertiser on your website to Big Brother
I want Tim Cook to take out Twitter ads saying Musk is a whiny brat who drinks his own pee, then when he gets banned and the ads don't run ask Musk why he doesn't like free speech.
And then delist Twitter from the apple store.
Actually, just that last thing would be good enough.
I think app stores are monopolistic and you shouldn't be able to take a cut considering it's usually the only option on the platform, but also lol get fucked elon.
Basically Epic did not have much of a legal argument
Like of course that sort of thing should be extremely regulated to allow for alternative storefronts, but that doesn't mean there was much of any legal argument argument

Elon Musk's financial solvency
Apple has a battalion of lawyers, veterans all, with demonstrated experience in exactly this same fight, Elon has... whatever dregs are left in Twitter legal post purge.
This isn't a war, it's a condemnation to the arena.
If I was Elon Musk rich I'd have a division of one of my companies build me a tricorder prop. But it would be fully functional with all the scanning stuff really working.
Obviously he would not do this because having a portable scanning device like that would better all of humanity and he's too shallow to do that.
Do you think Elon finds Star Trek too “socialist” so he never liked it, or do you think he used to like it but now he just complains that it’s “too woke”?
The latter, assuredly. He probably ignored or missed the "socialist" underpinnings of the franchise. Ten to one odds he's liked the movies tho.

To be fair, the app stores do have to pay for employee pay and other operating expenses and it's not unreasonable for them to expect to make some profit. That said, I fully agree with the idea that they are charging way too fucking much, given that it's cheaper to run an app store than to run an app with full support and regular updates.
So does Apple consider the owner of the company claiming he will go to war instead of pay the 30% fee enough of a statement of intent to violate the agreement and just remove the app like happened with Epic?

it's either built into the apple walled garden you buy into with one of their phones or it's a separate for profit company, it being both is too vertical.
the funny thing about him going "hey it's fucked up that apple is doing this to me!" is that the lax government regulations that let apple do this are the only reason that his companies are worth anything at all

Is this because he doesn't want to lose the 30% on his $8 subs?
At least Epic funnels an actual volume of transactions through there to get upset over.

I mean, that is the orthodox Right Wing position these days so I can't tell if you are being sarcastic or not.
I made a game, it has penguins in it. It's pay what you like on Gumroad.

Elon: Here's a pic of my piece and Coke...why are you all laughing?!
Wait, are you saying paychecks don’t just automatically go out based on the inherent merit of each employee every week?
Go on asshole. Do it. Announce you’re going to “make” a new phone
Do it
Dig your hole deeper.
Burn more of your fetid wealth
Potentially good news
Even if he is lying, lying about it is a great way to give Apple good reason to tell to go to hell
What is this flailing about
eggbug grows stronger
Like whatever, revenue cut for utilizing their storefront and infrastructure, sure
But also you can't do anything else
You've got this.
I don't think they could've had a better timing for it.
Did Epic lose that? I can't remember now
Look at this fucking pissbaby going "I just discovered this super secret thing no one else knows about and it's FUCKED UP we need to FIX THIS"
Dude makes slit-slinging orangutan hobgoblins look smart.
IIRC apple got dinged for like one or two small things in epic's list of grievances but by and large epic got blown out
I think it wasn't a 100% loss but it effectively was a loss for Epic on most everything meaningful.

Nice chart to figure out how honest a news source is.

YOU CAN TAKE HIM ZIG, NOW'S THE TIME
did you know that the government takes a Secret portion of your paycheck each month??? It's true!!
yeah, it gets funneled to tesla and spacex so elon can continue to sabotage public infrastructure solutions
Apple does a pretty good job of keeping their app store clean.
Google ... could do better.
