okay but imagine he steps down and installs someone he expects to just do whatever he says behind the scenes, and anytime that person gives even the slightest pushback or tries to do something of their own that Elon didn't pre-approve, the level of middle-school shit-talking and subtweeting that would come out of it. The Karen meme is a rather long running meme at this point, where the generic name of the entitled (usually) white, (usually) woman figure is Karen. The origin is unclear with some people pointing at Mean Girls, some at Dane Cook, some at the comedy of Jay Pharaoh, and some at a film from 1989. Using it as a common term for entitled people seem to really take hold in 2020, with a lot of it being aimed at entitled anti maskers, in my anecdotal experience.

The point where his "I'm a centrist" grift falls apart for anyone not actually caught in his cult of personality.
