I kinda feel like Sauron is awkward at a 3/3 with his effect. The deckbuilding constraints with him are pretty big, since you can't play any good Ongoing effects and many of the bad Ongoing cards are really, really bad if you don't have a way to Zero them, so him being a below-curve card is pretty depressing. Additionally, at 3 mana he's in a spot where you can't really slip him in to any other plays the same turn and can't turn off Ebony Maw or Electro in a useful way.
If he turned off all your ongoing effects everywhere I could see it, because at least then he'd be balanced around being a potential T6 power spike and around preventing you from e.g. Typhoid Mary + Sauron T6 or whatever, but since he doesn't affect the board I'm not convinced he'll ever be that good, but I could easily be wrong.
I mean, from my actual climb to infinite I'm pretty sure beating the bots stops working around rank 70 because they don't send you as many, but maybe it'll keep going.
It just won't work. The bots also get better as you rank up, and there are also cheater bots that basically have Daredevil for turn 6, so if there is a way to win on turn 6 they will play it.
Also 1 or 8 is silly. The percentage of people who are willing to snap back at you or will stay if you snap back at them later is very small in my experience. You're going to get a lot more 1s. In my experience infinite is done on the back of a lot of 2 cube enemy retreats and making sure you take as many 1 cube losses.
You would think the latter is true, but I've played too many rank 100 Shuri/panther/Zola players that telegraph, snap late and keep playing after the snap back for me to believe it any more.
Sauron is an energy vampire, so I get the whole "draining abilities" thing that they seemed to have gone for. It does seem like a huge missed opportunity to completely dodge the story beat that he's now most known for, though. How fun would it be to turn cards into No Ability dinosaurs??
Hell he even mind controls people, so that could have been something. Sauron is a weird character.

The amusing thing is, I haven't seen the featured location much. I did for a while as I was running a deck designed for it specifically. But then it just fell off and I haven't seen it so I swapped to another generic type deck that isn't specifically designed for it.

That is another obvious bot match dude. The snap is because they were winning multiple lanes due to Mr. Fantastic.
E: Also it looks like you're playing Wasp out way too early in most of your matches; you can generally play her T6 without any issue as long as you don't accidentally screw up a cross-turn Mystique or whatever.

I'm pretty sure I played against that same galactus player earlier today and was salty too - my play beat out most galactus followups (shang-chi + card / death) - but not that one

OK I've had a few really good ones this time, including one where we had Death's Domain AND Altar of Death.

I've done it. I've finally unleashed the power of M'Baku into my collection.
Climb to Infinite with a real M'Baku deck at the start of next season or I call bullshit. And I mean a real M'Baku deck where he actually contributes and isn't just a dead draw but the rest of your deck is good enough to compensate. =P
I think you'll find 99% of emote usage in these games is not very bro like.
(Edit: Exception being the one time I loaded in to a match with a guy with same name, same avatar, same card back. Pointing Spiderman was the only logical option, and we both took it simultaneously.)
Pretty proud of this win. Should have snapped, but I’m a coward.
T4 opponent played Shuri which gave them a second Shuri mid. Obviously a big Mary, Skull, or Panther was coming in. They snapped.
T5 60 power Red Skull in the right lane.
With double Sera, may hand was stupidly cheap. Just about to retreat, and then I saw the line:
Enchantress right to cancel their Armor
Shang Chi right to kill their Red Skull
Nova middle to buff everything
Armor middle to deny kills
Sentinel middle for extra power
The only way I lose is if they play nothing and soak 6 in middle with Sunspot. But you see, my opponent won't be able to help themselves and just has to play that Taskmaster left for MAX POWER!!!
Defeated by their own hubris, but to be fair, that would have been a tough line to play around.

I definitely use the Deadpool "I've made a huge mistake" emote many times more than any of the other ones. I do love when someone Marvel Thumbs at me before the game ends and I end up winning on turn 6. It's the closest this game comes to beating an offensive gg in StarCraft.

Sorry I don't hate myself enough to try to climb the entire way with a Cerebro 2 deck.

Shutting off ongoing seems more like curing cancer, and that is NOT Sauron’s bag.

But this was the 8 cube win lol

I think I managed 3 games with M'Baku before I was reminded that the ubiquity of Scorpion makes Cerebro incredibly unfun to play. Maybe 4 games.

It's the closest I can find to "Sorry."
I think I might be teaching these Shuri players to not snap for me.

I reserve thumbs up spam for when I beat a Leech Leader player.
Side note, I've noticed Zabu has all but vanished from my games. And this was before the new location. Anyone else having the same experience?

His decks really aren't good to abuse the Altar tho, so not surprised he's hiding for a couple days. Destroy Ramp is too fun to ignore.

Little worried about an opposing Nova coming out.
But 1 or 8.
.. yet to hit bot land in the 60s though.
