Gah I was playing a game on mobile data earlier and my internet cut out before I could play my game winning card and by the time I got back it timed out and I lost and they would absolutely have lost to my play seeing the final board that was very annoying
Ok to make up for that annoying loss I had a very very funny win just now. First location flips and it's Bar Sinister, I decided what the heck and try for an early play there. I toss Yondu down to destroy 4 cards, so half their undrawn deck is out. in my hand I see Gambit, Wong and Odin and I think, if I let them have priority I might be able to get a board wipe.
Well, second to last turn they wipe almost everything off the board on both sides with Killmonger, including 4x Nova for themselves. But I've stacked Wong, Gambit and finally Odin into Dark Dimension. Final cards come down and I just absolutely wipe the floor clean with lasers everywhere
I tried to play some suggested deck with Baron Mordo and Ronan the Accuser that was supposedly for the hot location. I don't know why it was suggested, it was fucking terrible.
Oh and I went 3-0 against galactus last night (not with that deck). I'm a little bit lucky, but I just don't think he's that good right now, in a tall meta.

I think some of those suggested decks are people just trying to make content - like sure there is synergy there - doesn't mean those decks beat out anything in the current meta.
Hoogland was playing a master mold list with those cards and beast and when it worked it hit everything it looked pretty strong - but it's a big difference between stuffing your opponents hand and just the possibility of them playing into sentinel printer

I follow Snap Zone too much, I should follow Hoogland more. He at least tries out new decks for fun. They're all about what's good in the meta.

Hoogland has pretty reasonable takes most of the time I find.
The SnapZone suggested decks thing is moreso that there's just no way to even test these things out. They know that people are gonna want something to refer to day one so you just put something that seems reasonable on paper out there. I think it's foolish to look at that kind of stuff as anything beyond a starting point. The best meta decks type stuff is better but I also think that's pretty flawed in general (which is part of why I stopped posting that stuff when it came up).
Also I found the Progress section in https://marvelsnap.pro/ According to it, I got Shuri and M'Baku back to back. I think Shuri was series 5 at the time.
I forgot the other day I got Hela so I made a standard Discard deck and welllll
I won the last 5 games straight. I knew that card was dumb.

Been saving up reserves so I can grab the series 4 cards as they drop. Had 12 saved up, only need 8 to get Orka/Attuma (since I already have M'Baku), so I decided to crack 4.
I pull Orka. Biggest waste of a my series 4 drop since ... checks notes ... M'baku

So far my series 4/5 drops have been
M'Baku
Helicarrier
She-Hulk
Valkyrie
Orka
Haven't got a single Series 5, ever.
No idea why you started opening reserves! I'm in the same boat where Orka and Attuma will drop next week so I'm not opening reserves until then.

I finally got Shulk thanks to token Tuesday and I now have the cards for a potential grind house deck.
I call it “The Devil’s in the Dinos”
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
I made it to 55! Bounced around at like 45-47 a bunch with casual games over the weekend, and then got a sequence of solid wins (including a nice 8-cuber). Huzzah, highest I've ever been! Did the whole thing with Deathwave, it's a really fun deck.
I bagged that Helicarrier I'd pinned (see BloodySloth's Gru mene) and now Master Mold is in my shop.
Why is every card with a wonky utility ability 2/2? How is Master Mold in particular not a 4/6, on reflection?
Wonky utility is better early if you care about it, so the answer is "Because as a 4/6 he'd be terrible."
See, on like Scorpion I buy that, but one of the things making Shuri so dominant is the Snap team's weird reluctance to give anything with an effect on it some power. Exceptions, like Polaris, are significant.
I'm pretty sure I'd rather play Master Mold on / after 4 than early at any stat-line, since I'm probably trying to use him to sabotage Dracula or buff my Ronan at present? It'd be nice if he'd maybe swing a lane when I did, and it seems like an odd choice on this particular effect.
Except they’re Sentinals… it’s not like your opponent can get rid of them (outside of discard), so stuffing their hand with un-dumpable cards early is way way better.
Yea the sentinels are basically sticking to their hand - the low cost also gives you a chance to bounce it and play it again. I assume they also wanted to consider the matchup consideration of you having to decide - is me giving my opponent a sentinel a useful card for them if they don't have anything else to play out - on turn 5 playing a sentinel is rarely doing anything for you.
Snap does have the problem that there is not much variety in what power a low cost card can have - and then some effects are just much more synergistic then others
The new location is annoying. Still playing Deathwave, and if things are going well I don't have a lot of flexibility in throwing down dumb sentinals, I have other cards I want to be playing . One sentinals isn't a big deal, but if I put down something that I want to destroy later on that location it starts to add up haha

As people have said, this is way more beneficial early. Your opponent is more likely to have more cards in hand later. Turn 4 is Moon Girl turn after all, or play Coulson the turn before. They could win Asgard. They maybe just didn't have plays.

I don't understand opponents sometimes.
"Okay, I'm down in two lanes, tied in another, and it's turn 6. What do we do? PLAY EVERYTHING IN ONE LANE YES THAT'S THE WINNING PLAY."
I have reached the point where I just won a Shuri mirror because they snapped T3 and I not only knew that they were snapping because they played Lizard T2 and I played Armor so they believed they'd win an Aero tie, not only knew where they'd play Red Skull so we'd have a tied Red Skull lane going into T6, but that I also recognized the name of the person I was playing against, remembered that they were on Iceman, and knew that my playing Aero without priority would zoop their Iceman over to whatever lane their Aero dragged me to and I'd swing back ahead by one point because I have Titania.
I'm not that good at Snap, I just think the meta is absurdly unhealthy!

If they're past level 100, maybe they just want to give out cubes. Or don't care. Or want to show you their hand whilst knowing they will lose.
I still have no idea why I keep getting matched with people with the current card back who are taking the game seriously.
There is literally no reason to.
Just play garbage.
It's more fun. And helpful.
I can't figure out with the series drop if I should open or not open boxes. I'm thinking no, on the off chance that one of my boxes is series 4, and if it's Orka, I'm going to be pissed. Otoh, pool 3 gets worse for me by adding Orka and Attuma to it, so if I open now, I have a decent chance of something good.
so I learned today there's no consistancy in how locations proc which is fun. makes it very hard to plan things when 2 "After turn 4" locations show up. specifically it was the symbiote location and the swap locations one. and earlier I had locations that fired in reveal order but these ones did not.

Surprisingly not good with guaranteed free Sentinels.
Falling back on Toxic Sera I guess.

I play nothing, expecting a T5 Galactus.
It's super effective!
Was hoping to lose priority to Shang-chi.

Maybe its a quest to win a lane by 20+ points? Win a lane with 4 cards? Maybe they just want to get that out of the way?
