As an Australian this whole thing is weird because what you call a cook out we call a bbq and the kind of food you have just depends on how much you’re willing to spend/how much effort you want to put in.
We should continue cook out until it escapes the board and then is mutated by the greater internet into something utterly grotesque and/or even more confusing.

They couldn't know that the points from the mainline to the siding were frozen, and the signal should have been set at "COOKOUT", but snow had forced it down.

We got tut-tutted for doing that already. Would we surely press our luck again?
Hey, don't try to spread your forced meme to other sub-forums, please.
Genuine, non-rhetorical questions, because I've always found the concept of a "forced meme" a little hard to parse
In which way is this a) a meme and b) forced? I made one really stupid joke, I had a good enough time with my very stupid joke that I iterated on it a couple of times, and then other people started having their own fun with it. Is ANY time people riff on the same style of joke a meme? Where's the coercion coming it, and who from, and via what mechanism, and to what end? What makes an organic meme?
To me "forced meme" has always read a bit like "a meme I don't personally think is funny, with this little patina of some vague violation of an objective order," I've never really understood the intended framing I don't think
Way late, but "forced meme" as a concept made way more sense on like, Chanboards where one person could just continuously post a meme over and over technically anonymously but in a way that made it pretty clear it was not being organically iterated on or picked up by the community.
If you, pooro, were posting the meme in three different threads and also oroop was newly created and posting Cookout memes, it'd make sense, but this is just a good old fashioned meme we all cooked out together.
In college my dorm had some sort of food social in the common area and they asked anyone who had George Forman grills to bring them down so we could cook hamburgers and hotdogs. And a bunch of us had them including me because George Forman grills were a thing in 2007-8.

We still have and use my old George Foreman grill. Only for hotdogs, but it is the best way of cooking hotdogs outside of firing up the barbecue.

I'd have bet that you couldn't plug in more than three George Forman grills at a time without tripping a breaker. Although I suppose dorms have to have some pretty heavy circuitry built in, now that I think about it.
The exact characteristics of this shock front—and thus the mechanical stress on the steak—depend on how an uncooked 8 oz. filet tumbles at hypersonic speeds. I searched the literature, but was unable to find anything to help me estimate this.
Edit: hit post too early, this passage made my morning.

They really picked a solid tagline for a cook out movie, gotta hand it to them.
Whoever cooks, we're out
OR
Whoever's out, we're cooked
