Because he 'identifies as white,' they can't call him a diversity hire, so instead, everybody else 'identifies as black,' thus solving their diversity.
A few months later, he brought this character back so that they could ask him to identify as gay to satisfy government diversity requirements.
He did something like this before back in the early 2000s I think it was. Got mildly criticised for how he portrayed women in the comic so lashed out with some terrible caricature of what he considered a "non stereotypical woman." Then bragged about how mature he was about it in one of his books. Big old red flag looking back.
Don't worry about what all those losers getting fired means for any realistic chance of long term compensation. They were losers unlike you, who are clearly awesome and have nothing to fear from my temper tantrums.

ah yes, promises of payment from the company not paying its bills
Reminder: only those with the best numbers (lines of code written, hours of unpaid overtime worked, favorable impressions and retweets of Dear Leader's posts) will be eligible for these awards.
Isn't Twitter no longer publicly listed, since he bought it? What does that even mean for stock based comp awards, do they go back to being Promises and Dreams, like before an IPO?

you can have stock in a private company, stock just means partial ownership.

and remember while you are working 80 hardcore hours per week to never give news or data or research that might suggest that Elon is not the most popular person in the world
I also get confused when people break down their heritage into quarters and eighths. Brandon, you are from Minnesota, man.
I can't eat pasta from a restaurant, I'm Italian.
Ma'am, your mother and father were born and raised in southern Alabama.
I cordially invite you to shut the hell up and meet us at Bonellis. And there will be no comparing of the food to anything else while we're there.
On my mom's side of the family (literally know nothing about my Dad's side, it's one of those "it's not talke about things), some poor Irish farmers came to the United States. At some point after getting here they married some freshly arrived poor Irish farmers. At least two ancestors were in debtor's prison at some point, and some people (kids? my understanding of the records such as they exist is it's hard to tell, maybe it was somebody with kids) were sold into Indentured Servitude to settle some debts and/or stay out of jail or something.
I can't say none of that had no effect on my life. That side of the family has been fairly hardcore about avoiding or being way more careful about debt than is seemingly standard. Irish need not apply didn't apply to anybody my great-grandparents ever personally knew, nor does it come up in any of the oral stories anybody remembers or any records anybody found.
But to compare it to chattel slavery, having non-white skin, or even to call ourselves Irish as opposed to a family that immigrated from Ireland (twice) in the 1800s?

Technically yes but it's nonsense.
Stock awards for employees only really make sense in pre-IPO or pre-private-sale environments, where there's an expectation that the company will be sold at some kind of multiple of the strike price of your options or your grant.
But twitter isn't pre-IPO it's post-public. There's not some other large company that's going to buy Twitter for the technology, and if you go back to the market does anyone on earth believe it would come at a higher price than Musk paid for it?
I am white as fuck and such is the form and level of my privilege that to me it's something I just laugh about. Like, "freckle in ten minutes, burn in twenty", "I don't have a color, I have an albedo", etc. Certainly no sense of superiority, except in that I can point to a certain island group and say that all the ancestors I know about came from there. Nice and simple.

Well yes I know that, but can they sell them?
Yes but only to other members of the same class.

so basically crypto, then
"highly regarded" employees soon to be paid in MuskCoin
A lot of big energy behind some nonsense about the war in Ukraine being fake because there isn’t any footage of it from tv news is bubbling up in the catturd circles of the internet. So expect Elon to “hmmm interesting” that sometime soon

Well, no. Privately held stock is a thing. Publix supermarkets have private stock. Only employees can buy and sell it, and if you leave the company you have to sell.

That's weird to push, wonder what the rational is for this.
I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.

My best guess - "all this money we're sending, that should be going back to good (white) American taxpayers (in red states) is being laundered through this hoax and siphoned off to (((((((them)))))))."
I put together a hypothesis about Twitter's For You algorithm and have used it twice now to get a tweet over 1,000 retweets (which is something I haven't been able to do since last November).
*Very sad man who pays for Twitter voice* Here’s how I did it…

Musk was already amplifying Russian propagandists earlier, so I expect this will get his special attention as well.

Don't forget the "Wag the Dog" explanation (i.e. the one they turned into a movie): the war isn't real, but the US Government wants you to think it's real because that way all the media attention is on the war and not [INSERT SCANDALOUS EVENT/CONSPIRACY THEORY HERE].
Unfortunately this type of conspiracy theory hasn't aged all that well with the modern age of the internet, since it's pretty trivial to find information from other countries that confirms that the war is real. Well, assuming that your "unbiased" media source isn't Russia Today I guess.

I watched "Wag the Dog" long after it first came out, and man, there's a movie that thinks it's being way more clever than it is

I mean a lot of that is back filling. Ultimately it's really quite simple. Many on the right have opposed the war in Ukraine because they consider Putin to be "on their side" and support strong-man nonsense. It's standard procedure for them to get conspiratorial about things they oppose. It can't just be that they don't agree with the war. The war has to be fundamentally a front for some kind of shady nonsense. It's not like this is the first conspiracy they have concocted about Ukraine.
Essentially ukraines and Zelenskys original sin is that they caused trump harm when they became the victim of his blackmail attempt. Combine that with a general regard for Putin, some Hunter Biden conspiracy nonsense, and since trump liked putin and they like autocrats with “conservative values” and you have a wonderful scenario where the right will do whatever it can to oppose helping Ukraine and is flirting more and more with open support for Putin. Oh also most liberal politicians and public figures support Ukraine, and therefore the right has to do the opposite of that. Add in some insincere America First hypocrisy about “not getting involved overseas” and you’ve baked yourself a delicious clusterfuck pie of garbage
