    Not that I want to go back and check, but was "boku no pico" actually that bad/out there for hentai or was it just that it got memetically popular? I don't think the premise is particularly unusual for hentai, because hentai is a constant hellspring of unusual depravities

    Hey there’s plenty of folks that don’t learn swimming, and most folks can barely do more than doggy paddle and maybe tread water.

    Maybe learn to swim properly freestyle, but even then it's mostly getting the motion and timing of breathing down.

    Unless they are swimming for exercise / triathlons I have to imagine most adults who know how to swim haven't actually swam properly with a real stroke since they learned to swim.

    If you’re looking for safety the absolutely basics like this are really what’s necessary.

    If you’re looking into it as a form of exercise to get into, the classes can be helpful to teach you strokes and work on your form to make sure it’s right. However most people don’t know swimming to the point they can lap every stroke, like butterfly is a hard stroke so unless you’re literally in the top level classes they don’t even teach it because it is a stroke that is useless outside of competition.
