I apparently completely missed the Cloverfield 2 announcement.
Hopefully this is actually a Cloverfield movie and not something that gets shoehorned in during post. (Looking at you God Particle/Cloverfield Paradox).
Or they can just go the 10 Cloverfield Lane route too; that'd be fine.
Meanwhile I know exactly the manner in which my brain is broken, so the first one is my favorite. Definitely looking forward to a direct sequel (which I also somehow missed until just now).

the first two Cloverfield movies are in the category of "I would typically never watch this genre of movie but somehow I ended up doing so once and thought they were pretty good"
I think 10 Cloverfield Lane is the only Cloverfield movie I thought was worth a shit (and I really like it).
But I guess I’m broken in some way that makes me perfectly willing to watch as many Cloverfield movies as they make.
I'm also in the boat of thinking 10 Cloverfield Lane is the only one I like (and I also really like it)
Wounds was...an absolute mess but at least this isn't being written by Anvari. Apparently it's by Joe Barton, the creator of the show The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself, which I've been considering checking out just based on the title alone
I bought Dungeons and Dragons on Amazon, and all the ad copy around this says that you get all the bonus features with a digital purchase. But for the life of me I cant find it. It's not on the Prime app, but for a lot of movies with extra features you can link your account to Movies Anywhere and watch them on that service. But Paramount movies are not included on Movies Anywhere. So where the fuck am I supposed to watch the bonus stuff?
Aw man, I need to see if it's still playing local!

it is the point in every scream sequel where i realize that none of these were ever good barring the first one, but never internalize the lesson
also i am ninety percent sure we got a roy here with the cop played by an actor of any note
i look forward to doing this again whenever scream seven comes out
i hate these movies, yet i keep waiting for what anyone sees in the franchise to finally click
neat gore effects though
I kind of respected it for being an extremely Scream movie. It definitely IS a scream movie, top to bottom, tip to toe, and I guess some people really dig that. I cant get too mad because every time I watch a scream movie im like well of course it would be that, thats a scream movie, I saw the title going in, so of course. My expectations are never raised and so im never really disappointed, I kind of just go oh ok and move on
Unlike the recent Halloween which raised my expectations and then featured two of the worst sequels of all time, Ive never seen a quality cliff so pronounced and so thorough as Halloween to Halloween kills and then Halloween ends. All you had to do was just continue the original momentum of the first film, but instead, we got, well we got what we got. Just an absolute face first plunge off a cliff into an open chasm and then straight into the pits of the stupidest hell

Scream movies have never totally clicked for me, but they also never totally fail for me. I think 3 and 5 are a fair bit weaker than the rest, but given that I'm mostly looking at them as like, "Oh, another Scream, that's cool I guess" that isn't really a major failing either.

I love The Scream movies so much. They can keep making them and I’ll keep watching them.

So glad we are finally edging past the Neville Page era of design
