We should also be using bugs as a protein source, they're cheap as hell to farm and doing so has really minimal ecological impact and you can turn them into stuff that doesn't resemble a bug at all. Granted it also doesn't resemble a steak but when the world's on fire we're going to have to be a little less picky.
do you have any idea how furious the right wing types are at the thought of not eating all beef steak and hamburgers for every single meal
Burger King should really try to nail down making a regular burger that doesn't absolutely suck instead of coming out with a new "wacky" menu every three months

It's nice that the put the pepto bismal directly into the meal, so you don't have to wait until your stomach is upset, you eat the cause and the cure at the same time.
That's just smart and efficient!

Whoppers are perfectly fine.
If you want food poisoning, but maybe that's just my experience.

I don't care how much of a foodie you are, if you didn't source the burger yourself you need to insist that they cook the bun until there's no pink left. That's basic food safety.

and that was the last anyone saw of ol' peen, some say that his search for a single solitary fuck goes on to this very day and that if you listen closely at the very break of day you can still hear him softly calling "fuck those people for real" in the early morning breeze.

Pretty sure that's a Japan BK. They do some off the wall things
Assuming they can make it taste good I'd eat things made with insect protein. But I can't deal with whole bugs. And yes that includes shrimp, prawns, crabs, lobsters, etc which I detest.

I am pro insect consumption and lab meat, etc, but it's worth noting that you absolutely can raise all species of meat-animal in environmentally sustainable and carbon neutral or negative ways, and indeed many small farms do this. However, it's more expensive and less productive, so industrialists use factory farming techniques instead.

Even cows! A huge portion of cow-carbon comes from the fact that we feed them foods that cause them to produce a lot of methane. A better diet (and some diet supplements) can eliminate the vast majority of methane production, and smart agriculture and pasture rotation lets you take care of the rest. I saw a feature on it...somewhere, once. One of Dave Chang's shows maybe. Really interesting stuff!
Obviously much more time intensive, costly, and doesn't scale up to the levels industrialists demand for maximum profit (even though this produces massive amounts of waste).

Very much so! It sounds crazy but it's true. Cow farts are a huge problem and an easily controllable one. In a world where it seems like we're determined to do as little as possible about global warming, feeding cows seaweed is one of the cheapest things you can shout about at your next climate protest.

Also just in general: there's probably a local butcher in your area, or a halal market, or both. Good stuff there.
There's a local Ethiopia butcher and two halal ones, and while the Ethiopian place carries beef, it doesn't do steaks, and neither of the halal ones carry beef

Tried some Peepsi today, it was all right. Bland, but very smooth.

Pedant mode: I believe it's actually cow burps.
I am fully prepared to accept that cows emit methane from both ends.

While this is true, there is not sufficient land for meat production on the Earth to meet the world’s current demand using these techniques. It is one of the reasons why replacing industrially produced beef with meatless alternatives, which require less resources and far less land, are important.
The alternative, of course, is to decrease demand by choosing to eat less meat.

I often wonder how much we would actually have to decrease demand if you accounted for how much meat is "wasted" in the whole process.
But also its more that people need to be more flexible about what kind of beef you eat and how you cook it. A steak every meal is not remotely sustainable.

Surface of the sun is the appropriate temperature to serve hot drinks. People who like it cooler can let them cool down, people like myself who enjoy drinks at the correct temperature can't add our own heat.
Coffee is like concerts it is better to error on the side of too hot or too loud unless it is that Iced coffee I guess you don’t want that to be hot but I don’t drink that
A beef factory would free up a lot of land and probably grow more efficiently than a cow so it would require less inputs like food and such I say grow more of it as a man of science

I've probably made a hole in the ozone layer above my house with some of my farts.

Apparently extreme temperatures make coffee brew faster. Which is how McDonalds ended up giving a woman 3rd degree burns when it spilled.
