If you happen to look at your bookmarks, you may notice that bookmarks are appearing backwards, showing ancient threads first and newer threads last, which is a neat opportunity for recollection.

For instance, I found a thread where I was asking for advice on my then-adopted cat, who's now eight years old(and still just as temperamental).

Then:

Now:

What's some neat ancient threads you've found as a result?

leli's suicide by mod after posting like 30 threads about cats in quick succession was very funny though

Here's a fun highlight: the fifteen year old Ace Combat thread still being used today.

First thread I have bookmarked was LewieP's Mummy painting stuff.

Then old toy threads, now a deserted wasteland of broken image links.

My oldest one is a Growlanser Retrospective from 2007, I'd say half the images still work.

I only ever bookmark threads on accident when my phone bumps the gold star while scrolling

But I had to browse through some old Homestuck threads recently to find something that my post history doesn't display correctly anymore (thanks to the power of Vanilla eating all that every time a Holiday forum happens) and hoo boy was that a blast from the past

Most of my old bookmarks are game threads in GnT, which I don't think would be that interesting to look back on.

I looked at an old webcomics thread and all the images are broken.

Welcome to Yakuza motherfucker. You are about to enter a game of phenomenal ass kicking. A game where you will stomp on the face of your enemies, kick when they’re down, and fight dozens of enemies at once and beating them so badly they have no choice but to pay you off. The best part? You never start shit. They do, and you don’t take that crap.

I feel like you’re either a Felix with exactly 6 carefully curated, active bookmarks, or you’re an Oscar with 20+ pages of bookmarks dating back a decade and a half.

    Very little middle ground.

One of my oldest bookmarks is apparently the g&t “free to a good home” thread.

Which, I bet if we started another one of those here there’d be some weird/neat stuff.

I'm pretty sure the "weird/neat stuff" is the reason the "share things you bought" threads got locked.

If I'd known ten years ago we'd get this bug I would have bookmarked some absolutely heinous shit for posterity

but let's face it, most of the really good/bad stuff pre-dates the Vanilla transition.

I've been trying in vain to find some of my favorite threads, namely, and I quote, "is tidus gay?", "look at this BEAR", and this massive write-up debating which Sailor Senshi were the best.

My oldest bookmarked thread is the growing old thread, which I suppose is fitting. Maybe I should go back in there and complain about the young'uns.

Yeah I don't bookmark anything and just kind of slide from thread to thread. I think you used to be able to see a history of your own posts and I wish that was still available cause I couldn't remember where I asked a particular question.

I am in the business of saving lives.
