Managed to get enough of the tickets to finish up that discount banner. Rolled Clara as my 5 star and she's very good when combined with March. Her whole deal is being a counter tank she excels at it.

Also she is basically Ilya from Fate series, just instead of summoning Heracles she calls out a big robot punch man to hit things.

Wow, their Discord is fucked. Someone had the bright idea of requiring people to assign themselves a rank before they can even see any of the main channels, so of course the bot that makes that work basically broke instantly once the game launched. They have a message up saying they're aware of it, and to just check back later after it isn't stupidly busy. Which lol, but not sure what else they'd do on short notice immediately after launch.

is it just me or is this game all white people? that's really weird to me.

It's been noted. Oh how it has been noted.

Yeah, I'm still in space Russia, and the closest I've seen to a nonwhite person was the chief of security has a tan

Also, that was a lot of build up for the train to go into hyperspace, and not watching March eat shit on the brakes.

This is a payment in Genshin as well. The desert folk and other people that should be dark skinned are just kinda tan. The darkest skinned person is Xinyan.

Is there a way to use a controller for this game? Trying to use my mouse and keyboard for a long time is causing a fair amount of pain.

You have to go into settings and switch it manually some times

I'm enjoying not having a Paimon. It's like a constantly hungry, greedy tiny monkey in diapers was removed from my back. MC is still silent but at least now it feels like we are interacting with the NPCs and not just standing there looking dumb.

Also was not expecting the game going all Stanley Parable on me when I inspected a closet in a hotel room.

Oh, and I got Himeko who isn't really who I wanted as my guaranteed 5* but she's growing on me and she really destroys lower level groups which can be fun. She's not too great in difficult fights though, which makes me question just how much real power she is adding to my team. On the other hand she's easy on the eyes which is always a plus for me.

I enjoy this so far. Some xenosaga vibes and basic mobile rpg 2 ability combat though I like the bit of turn manip you can do with ults.

Clearing out the station ran into a lvl 13 boss at lvl 6ish so that was fun. Annoyingly I died one turn before it died but at least it seems like the game has some tension of “burn resources or come back later” challenges.

I have added a guitar lady to my team. I also realized I don’t know what the classes mean. I got a harmony character assuming that would be a healer and she just has fire attacks

You get one Natasha for free once you hit a certain point in the main story. She is also the only 4* healer at launch (there's a 5* one as well) so it's not like there's that many options.

The only character I've gotten from the pulls so far is a constellation for Serval. Which is perfect since I'll probably never take her out of my party.

Decided to try it cause i have no chill. Got Clara for my 5*. She seems great. Tank. Got the 4* healer in the pulls to Clara so im set. Using March and Serval as well. Freezing to Shock to counters from Clara seem to work fine.

I am already skipping the story though.... Not really a fan/seems dull to way over the top.
Like when you walk into March's bedroom lol

Game may hold me longer than Genshin did but not sure.

I cannot tell which characters are how many stars, besides the initial screen.

Also, I keep forgetting to use consumables to level up my guys, so every so often I just slam right into the difficulty wall

You can put whoever you want in the party. Looks like the main pc will get the most consistent upgrades initially though.

There's just something about the MC using a baseball bat to kill stuff that amuses me to no end. I'm keeping her around for a while at least. Also there seems to be quite a few physical weakness bosses.

... physical being an actually decent damage type seems just weird after Genshin.

MC will probably have an easier time of it with readily available upgrades, yeah. You can get the second eidolon unlock basically right after the first if you explore the station enough (it costs 500 of the zone currency you get from every chest, quest, etc).

The whole game seems to take itself a lot less seriously than Genshin, which is amazing. I'm really enjoying the writing. The main plot is pretty basic so far but all the little things have jokes and amusing details.

so are the regular tickets just things you get forever and use on the standard banner and the gold ones for whatever hot new rotating money sink banner?

actually thinking about it I bet my genshin playing partner could just explain what everything is because these look like they pretty much map to the same things that I see when they're playing that game

This guy has a bunch of helpful videos on his channel, and has a Discord server set up with the invite in the video description. They've been keeping track of character changes, strategies, redemption codes, etc. It's been pretty nice so far...for an open Discord server of course.

I found the equivalent of ley lines. The fight is against fire and ice birds. I have Herta, and I find out you can take an overleveled support character from another person, so I pick Himiko. And this is where I find out how broken the two are. Turns out Himiko's counter attack when you do 3 elemental weakness attacks... can trigger her own counter attack. And the number goes up per attack. So like her drone would attack 3 ice bats and kill everything, next wave is 2 fire/2 ice, the drone attack again, doesn't kill the fire bats but does take them below 50%, which triggers Herta's spin counter... which is elemental and triggers the drone again! Holy frijoles. Eventually this feedback loop stops. On a wave with 3 ice bats. Pop Himiko's ult, and lets rev this chainsaw back up again.

Got a good glimpse of the bullshit you can get up to. I'm down to my last 10 pulls on the discount banner and now I'm kind of hoping I get Himiko. In the meantime though I threw a few tickets at the character banner, and actually hit paydirt with a 5*. I don't remember the guy's name, some young ice Hunt kid who attacks with a sword. He kind of reminds me of a more peppy Xingqui.
