I misread "we want you to teach *them*" as "we want you to *teach* them". As in, we don't want you to get the blades, we want you to *teach* the blades.

And let me say, the Witchalok Blades reincarnating as young Sorcellators who are, ironically, the only hope to defeat the Witchaloks, is totally on brand. Especially now that apparently we're in the modern day?

And I'll never get tired of the fact that everything is magic wands, specifically kids-magic-kit/stereotype-stage-magician wands rather than gnarled branches.

I think I started hating this from the first time I read the word "Witchalok"

Nah. It's just a wand rifle. But it can take a bayonet that's also a wand.

I always wondered where the work of Tycho Brahe ends, and the work of L H Franzibald begins. Tycho claims Franzibald stole his work on the Elemenstor Saga to write Song of the Sorcelator, but clearly by the time of Lord of the God-Kings the works had diverged enough that Tycho no longer recognises it.

I don't think so. However, being a Wand, it has a cylindric shape and is large enough to be used as a blunt weapon if need arises, meaning that it's also de facto a Wand Bat.

I wonder what's the backstory of the woman Sorcelator (Sorcelatress?). She not only has the same Wand Claws power as the Sorcelator, but she also modeled her outfit after his. Was she inspired by the tale of the Wand Clawed Sorcelator to use her own Wand Claws for Sorcelating?
Or is she a oposite-sex clone created by corrupts elements of the Wizard governements to try and create the ultimate assasin, who then escaped the lab, developed a consciense and decided to use her power for Sorcelating.
