Serbia jumping from a burst cocoon in order to attack weak points for massive damage in front of an Evangelion-Terminator was good

So far a disappointing number of ballads, but some good standouts.

Edit: Finland breaks a boring streak!

I adore Czechia’s song. I found it captivating during the semi, and the message fits the energy so well

    ....wtf croatia ?

The song is basically “fuck you Putin”, with a bunch of double meanings in the lyrics

It was a pretty restrained Eurovision all things considered. Some years it felt like half the acts were like Croatia. 😆

I feel like the Swedish presenters have gotten very strict instructions to not talk over Graham

Also I did not know Hannah Waddingham was hosting and it makes me very happy

Croatia and Germany are probably my top for just being interesting, I cannot understand how Sweden is getting so many votes! It was just… a slow ballad!

Sweden is a worse version of the song she won with a few years back. I mean I’ll take the win but it’s absolutely not the best

I reckon Germany will do very well in the public vote.

Imagine being someone who didn’t keep up with Subwoolfer after last year, only to see an unmasked Keith as a judge.

The angry crowd chanting Cha Cha Cha is great

Holy shit Finland! At least the audience understands fun music is better than slow as hell ballads

    Edit: boooooo Finland/Australia/Germany were robbed!

And Sweden tie Ireland for most Eurovision wins.

Ireland's been useless for the last 30 years so well done. Might get our thumb out and make a serious effort next year lol

I do feel like this win was largely the result of juries thinking a repeat win would be cool. But I’m glad Czechia is in the top 10, and that Cha Cha Cha is number 2

Loreen (SWE) is also the second person to win twice. First being Johnny Logan (IRE). So a double tie

That got a little intense there with the top 2.

Johnny claims three wins 'cause he wrote Linda Martin's winning tune in ?92?.

But Johnny Logan loves the smell of his own farts so never mind him.

I think Ireland need to bring out the big guns and send Enya to reclaim the title. It's all we have. 😆

Eh 2.5 for Logan then. But hey, you also got Bono!

Rock music normally doesn't do well at eurovision with the odd exception.

It’s a damn shame, because I think they killed it out there.

Honestly this year was mostly pretty good, but no tunes I'd add to my playlist. The more I saw the replays the more i realised Belgium was probably my favourite.

I'd have liked to see Germany do a lot better just on principal but thought the song kinda missed the mark. Expected it to be middle of the table.

I really wanted Finland to upset win over Sweden but I'm down with them hosting. Just going to hope Petra comes back in some capacity <3 I enjoy Melodifestivalen most years so I know SVT will put on a show.

This year was pretty great! I felt they celebrated Ukraine a good amount and the interval acts in Semi 1 and the Final were great! Semi 2 was a little bit of a dud comparatively though. The ballad bloc followed by Finland felt like the producers giving Finland the best possible chance? I think they could have broken up the slower songs a bit better if that wasn't the case.
