edit: Actually I do like the image of a noseless robot looking at themselves in the mirror after waking up in that body for the first time and thinking that something's missing from their face, then settling on glasses being the solution.

When I first saw her I assumed they were a tattoo.

But yeah, seeing as they're movable, magnets seem like the answer.

I would question why she's moving the glasses. I've made that move before when I wear glasses, it's because they're uncomfortable just that little bit or out of focus and I'm readjusting their position. Why would a robot need to do either?

Imitating humans, the same reason they do anything.
It's like Data taking a noticeable breath in before speaking, even though he doesn't breathe.

Pretty sure he has an emulation of a vocal tract rather than a synthesiser. I mean he can drink too so there’s gotta be a pipe in there somewhere, might as well be a useful one. Also he appears incapable of speech when his head is separated from his body, but that could be an energy conservation thing.

As many times until JJ decides if they're actually robots or just humans in metal bodies instead of flipflopping in between trying to have it both ways by trying to handwave AI shenanigans that are kooky if they're robots that can swap shells at will but utterly horrifying if they're people with defined senses of self.
