It was so weird reading the books in chronological order, through several X Wing books where Zsinj is the Big Bad guy, and then getting to Courtship of Princess Leia and
he just basically gets his whole fleet blown up off screen and gets about 3 paragraphs of attention across the whole book and then that whole storyline is over

Also I believe this book is the one where 3PO writes a whole hype track for Han

...I think this might already be the best season of Fargo

If not, it's really really close. Hitting on every cylinder for me, tense 98% of the time and still finding a way to have a funny as hell scene despite/during it per episode. (For the new one it's definitely

That's because Allston's whole bit with Zsinj in the Wraith Squadron books was trying to make the guy from this other novel (which came out first) into less of a bad 80s cartoon antagonist. (Like, we're talking DROIDS caliber.) He did that pretty well, I thought.

It's not a great written book (rest in power dave wolverton) but there is this part, a little throwaway where Leia is dealing with some political stuff and there's a reference to a insect mind species, the Verpine I think, and how the only time they go insane is when their antennae are damaged and they can't communicate with each other anymore that is strangely emotional

Last night I watched some more Gilmore Girls, and got to witness a wake held for the death of a community cat (potentially because of bad clams).

First things, my first-impression character rankings:
    #3. -- Kirk
    #2. -- Luke
    #1. -- Miss Patty

    God, Miss Patty rules.

Also, my girlfriend was very happy that some of y'all like Gilmore Girls, but maybe not how one of you like it...
Me: Oh, my buddy told me I have to be on team Paris.
GF: She's great, but starts off rough. He must have come around to her when she became better.
Me: I am 100% confident that AJ immediately rooted for the high-school bully who declares war against the new girl on her first day of school.
    GF: [Marge Simpson groan] Hrmmmm...

I've been watching AP Bio and its all good, but it becomes great at the end of season 3 and beginning of 4. Ending a season with Katie Holmes day and then starting the next season with the tornado episode where the students write fan fiction about their teachers is phenomenal.

The only Gilmore Girls I can stomach is Kirks short film.

Everything else is the definition of "not for me". And that's ok!

I've started watching Deadloch, a dark comedy crime show on Amazon. Set in Tasmania. It's absolutely brilliant.

Shit, AJ, I hope it does work this way because I looked up the tour info and the Chicago concert could not be in more difficult location. Even with a car I've avoided seeing concerts there for 20+ years now.
