I watched way too many horror movies as a kid and Freddie was always the scariest to me. As I got older, I learned to appreciate just how much he loves his job - a lot of unstoppable killers seem to kill because they have to, not because they want to.
Freddie really does have it all.

I'm not sure if I really have a slasher franchise that I have strong feelings about. Like if pressed I'd probably say Pinhead or Candyman, but that's less a franchise long fondness and mostly just on the original movie.
At which point I feel should start looking at like, one off slasher flicks I'm particularly fond of. So like, the Night Owl from Stagefright maybe; or the Fox, the Lamb, and the Tiger from You're Next.
Well, I've got Freddy in Mortal Kombat 9, Jason & Leatherface in Mortal Kombat X, and a variety of them in Dead by Daylight, so I'm not sure how to answer?
I've also got Curse of Chucky on blu-ray.

The Mangler is a fine choice.
What’s scarier than an evil, sentient laundry press?
one of the things i am mad about losing in all my moves was all my research for the independent study i did on slasher movies in art school. watched about 300 flicks starting with thirteen women and, i want to believe i ended with my bloody valentine 3-D. hell of a project, and it made college pay for my four discs at a time netflix.
anyway, the best slasher is rock's chosen warrior, sammi curr

might be a basic take but as far as one-off monsters go the It Follows thing was pretty damn effective on me

Nightmare on Elm Street is the only one of the classic slasher series that I've actually seen all the way through. I've been meaning to do a complete watch of the Friday the 13th series (I've only seen the first one and Jason Takes Manhattan) sooner rather than later.
now if you want me to list a favorite slasher movie? it's too entwined with real life dead mom/friend shit for me to ever be unseated by the number 2, which, naturally is jason takes manhattan.

Other.
Robert the Doll from the Robert the Doll series about a murderous haunted doll; created by moldy molester of monotonously mundane movies, Andrew Jones.
Fun fact: Robert the Murderous Haunted Doll kills less people in his own franchise than humans do, and only barely ekes out the other murderous haunted dolls in the series.

We're definitely watching Tucker & Dale vs. Evil.
Though decent odds we'll probably watch Trick R Treat at some point.
i thought he was retired
I wish I could watch them all on the 13th but I wouldn’t have time.
It’s about 12 hours of movies and I have to work.
he's mostly doing doing autograph appearances now.
I forgot that comes out that day…shit
Anyway, what's everyone's opinion on Pamela Voorhees?
Pamela Voorhees is a delight.
she's no roy
Roy is by far the most underrated Jason.
Except me, maybe.
I am, but I'm not a horror fan.
... oh, you mean the animatronic bear, don't you.
Dammit! He even calls himself a slasher. Didn’t even think of him.
Ari Lehman wants you to NEVER FORGET that Jason is in the first movie and is played by Ari Lehman.
I don't feel totally set in stone on that order, but I feel pretty okay about it
