The Pokécrawl is a non-profit Pokémon themed event dedicated to raising money for Child's Play Charity. You may have heard of our event at Pax East, it’s been running since 2009, and we’ve come to be known as a crazy night before the convention. 14 years later, we have grown to other cons including PAX West in Seattle, and now we are thrilled to announce our first event in Philadelphia, the evening before Pax Unplugged!
Since it’s our first time in Philly, this event will be at 1 location throughout the night rather than a bar crawl. Please RSVP to this Facebook event if you are interested in joining us. https://www.facebook.com/events/s/the-pokecrawl-pax-unplugged/332705579367456/
We’ll start at 7pm, when you arrive we ask that you check in and choose your team! We’ll give you a colored wristband and some Pokemon Energy Cards to represent your team color. Then every hour on the hour, we’ll encourage you to find someone on an opposing team and participate in a drinking Challenge! (Non-alcoholic versions will also be available.) Once you complete the challenge, swap an energy card with your opponent. Can you collect all the different energy cards and prove you have the power to Drink ‘em All?
Expect the teams to be collecting donations, and selling or auctioning various items during the crawl to raise money for Child’s Play Charity, who provides video games to kids in pediatric hospitals to improve patients’ lives through the power of play. There is a serious competition to see which team raises the most. Donations will be accepted in cash or through Tiltify using a credit card, Google Pay, or PayPal: https://tiltify.com/+pokecrawl-professors/pax-unplugged-2023
