I think this Purdue team is too shit to do Purdue shit. If they were going to Kinnick we could just mark it down as a 13-9 loss tonight.
Prescient.

this play made me wonder about something; with 10 seconds left, oregon got a five yard penalty on that play and ran five seconds off the clock
could they just like, run 20 defenders onto the field and see if the other team snaps it? I feel like I'd trade yards for time at that point
that's why we call it the struggle, you're supposed to sweat
Well the offense gets a free play, and the game cannot end on a defensive penalty, so with 5 seconds left it doesn't make a ton of sense to give them multiple chances for something dumb to happen (ie, missed tackles, PI, facemask, etc). Also at some point you're looking at an unsportsmanlike vs just too many men.

SEC strikes videos from YouTube. Feels like Twitter is the main resource, and I ain't using that (and bluesky barely has any CFB activity)

Now to suffer through the rest of my existential dread of Billy Napier's Tenure at Florida.
---
There's no such thing as a "Fair Shake" in the SEC when even Vandy is out here kicking ass and taking names... so I fully suspect Napier to be gone by the end of the season, if not sooner.
Portal-a-Go-Go soon after and The Swamp goes under another rebuild.
Yea.

Yeah that was Domani Jackson, I saw him realize his possible mistake as he thought about it and ran it out, very good awareness. It's awesome too because he got carted out earlier in the game but came back in and made a good play.

Straight Up
SICKOS GAME OF THE WEEK: UCLA @ Rutgers (-3.5) - UCLA is an absolute dumpster fire of a program that is saved by an adequate defense. Still, I for one am shocked that promoting the running backs coach to the head job and hiring Eric "My Offense Only Looks Good if Patrick Mahomes is at Quarterback" Bieniemy has backfired so tremendously. Rutgers, meanwhile, went from a darkhorse Big Ten team to also-ran in a hurry. This is one of the longest trips a team will take this year, and the fact that it is a conference game is just disgusting.
Central Michigan @ Eastern Michigan (-1.5) - This is the oldest rivalry in the Mid-American Conference, with the first meeting taking place all the way back in 1902. The rivalry also celebrated 100 games played a few years ago, which is a milestone few rivalry games can claim. EMU has been their normal garbage football selves, though the recent loss to Miami of Ohio stands out as a disappointment, while CMU has been...just ok. They did beat San Diego State which stands out, but also lost badly to FIU, so who knows what to believe here.
Ohio @ Miami (-3.5) - THE BATTLE OF THE BRICKS! And a special edition, as this will be the 100th meeting between the two schools. How exciting! What will be less exciting: the game itself probably! Miami is favored despite being objectively worse, while Ohio has been borderline good this year. I wish I knew why this was called the Battle of the Bricks, with my only assumption being that these two fanbases love the distinctly Ohio tradition of throwing bricks at each other to pass the time.
#8 Louisiana State (-3) @ Arkansas - THE BATTLE FOR THE GOLDEN BOOT! Which, let's be honest: this trophy is ridiculously big for no apparent reason other than to be big. LSU tends to dominate this rivalry, but this game features a brilliant combination of a feisty Arkansas that already has one top-10 scalp on the year and an LSU squad that is prone to letting opponents stay in the game.
Against the Spread
Nebraska @ #16 Indiana (-6.5) - On October 12, the Indiana Hoosiers became bowl eligible before Alabama, Ohio State, and Georgia, and then got announced as the Big Nude Saturday host game against a 5-1 Nebraska team. If you told someone before the season that this would happen, I think they might have laughed in your face. The dream of 9-Windiana is still strong, but we may be looking at 10-Windiana if this keeps up.
#7 Alabama (-2.5) @ #11 Tennessee - THE THIRD SATURDAY IN OCTOBER! And sure, this game lost a bit of luster since both teams decided to be Blood Week victims and both teams continued to look shaky last week, but the memories of their last meeting in Neyland Stadium still ring loud. I actually think this is something of a CFP Elimination Game for both teams, as they still have games against top-10 opponents on the schedule and can their Blood Week losses have removed the margin of error.
#12 Notre Dame (-10.5) @ Georgia Tech - The only upsetting thing is that this game is in Atlanta and not South Bend, because it removes my obvious joke of "Georgia Tech looking to go 2-0 in Ireland this year."
Colorado @ Arizona (-3.5) - These are two of the more fascinating teams in the country to me. On the one hand you have Colorado, a team with all the flash and sizzle in the world online but has come onto the field and turned about to be...fairly decent? Their offensive line is still bad but they've managed to figure out a defense, and like him or not Shedeur Sanders looks like one of the better quarterback prospects for this upcoming draft class. On the flip side, Arizona came into this season riding a massive wave of momentum even with their coach leaving for a better job. Noah Fifita was coming back, as was Tetairoa McMillan at receiver, and this team was one of the hottest to end last season so there was a lot of hype surrounding them. They answered that hype by...being average at best; Arizona demoted Dino Babers from playcalling duties but everyone has basically figured out that Fifita's only move is to chuck the ball in the general direction of McMillan and hope something happens. It's a fascinating game here because both teams could use the win for narrative purposes, with Colorado needing to win big this year to give Deion Sanders a shot at building something long-term at the school, while Arizona needs a win to reset their season.
Colorado State (-7.5) @ Air Force - THE RAM-FALCON TROPHY! Neither team is good, but it's more of a surprise Colorado State hasn't spent the entire week shit-talking the troops. Maybe they've finally learned after repeated losses to Colorado.
GAME OF THE CENTURY OF THE WEEK (Straight Up)
#5 Georgia @ #1 Texas (-3.5) - This is one of the biggest home games in Texas history, with the Longhorns ranked #1 and hosting one of the preeminent dynasties of the modern era, and the whole thing is going to be overshadowed because the United States Grand Prix is taking place right down the street. Can Lando Norris inch closer to overtaking Max Verstappen? Will Verstappen battle back and get the necessary points haul he needs to stave off his charging rival? Will the winning head coach show up in the Ferrari pit on Sunday? Tune in to find out!

To be fair, that's only 3.5 teams from each Conference in the Big 10.
Can't have people being clever! Boooooooooooooooooooo!
Edit: don’t get me wrong I’m glad it fucked OSU in this case
