    Give it a viking funeral.

Or just fix the wifi settings/drivers.

I have a friend with the same negative energy field.
Couple years ago I finally sprung for a new computer. Got it put together by a company that does builds. Two of my friends decided theirs were due as well, so they just copied the build I had linked.
2 of ours worked fine, but that one friends' was plagued with issues and he had to send it back. When it came back it was still weird for a while until he had a local friend look at it and they found a loose connector. It's better now, but still slightly goofy compared our two identical ones.

I got one just recently. I was surprised to find out that 5GHz wifi just won't work until you change some setting (which I think you can only change after you set up the wifi the first time). Never change, technology.

Yup. Have a friend with entropic energy emanations. Everything would just break around them so much faster than around other people. Has soooo many problems with computers, tvs, video game systems, cars, appliances. If this person is around something with moving parts, it won't.

TBF Valve have been very forward in responding to feedback, especially software feedback.

    Yes

I was looking for one before where Gabe's son builds his own computer and Gabe tells him he broke a generational curse. Couldn't find it

Back to the topic. There hasn't been a Steamdeck which was trouble free for me. The OG Steamdeck I got, shipped without an OS / OS partition and dumped me straight to the Grub bootloader. Could be restored without a problem. Within the first few weeks it would reboot itself if I connected to certain WLAN networks - has been fixed with FW or OS updates. There were occasional glitches, like refusing to wake up and refusing to launch games until reboot.

The SteamOLED I got now, would hang if I switched to Desktop mode and back (the graphic driver would just lock up with a black or garbled screen), but this doesn't appear to happen anymore.

But I know what I got myself into and that it is basically a PC with its little quirks and problems.

I wonder if Gabe got his replacement yet?

I wonder if Gabe had to be told not to huff the exhaust fumes.

    He can not.
