oh, one of these songs is by nobonoko, who put out an album a couple of months ago
apparently he does all of his music on jummbox, a free online tool, which seems insane to me but i don't know much about music production so maybe that's not such an unusual thing to do
is this not a thing that's existed for like 10 years already?
It had a pilot but now it's becoming a series.
it's similar to Adventure Time where there was essentially a demo on youtube for years and years and then finally got picked up
the amount I see people randomly talking about it in the perhiphery of my vision led me to believe it had long since been a full series airing on youtube or somewhere
Two things:
One, Hazbin Hotel did generate a spinoff web series, Helluva Boss, that actually was out and the two are easy to get confused if you aren't paying attention.
Two, Hazbin Hotel is an incredible drama/discourse/fandom generator, it has an unreal amount of Fandom Stuff Happening for something that only had a pilot.
There's some staff crossover. The creator of Digital Circus (Gooseworx) did music for the Hazbin Hotel pilot, for instance.
But I'd say that, just in general, it's just... a kind of common-ish art style these days and I don't really see that many similarities between the two?
I personally think Gooseworx is a lot more interesting between the two, but hey, full power to the folks who don't find VivziePop's style kinda tedious (I am sure I would have adored Hazbin and Helluva Boss if I were like, a third my age)

to CursedKing's point, though, yeah the cursing in it does feel particularly forced and overdone in a way that doesn't do any of the other more minor issues I have with it any favors

I do actually really like the core character of Hazbin Hotel and her general vibe of trying to rehabilitate demons, it just feels buried under a lot of excess that I'd have edited out of the script long before storyboards were even drawn
I mean, no I do not actually think that a professional animated thing is done by a child. Also, I would disagree pretty vehemently that Hazbin Hotel is made for kids, given the extreme language and sexual content.
gi joe is made for kids. steven universe is made for kids. HH is not "made for kids". It's hard R rated content with rape jokes.
