    Those are nice buffs to DRK. Their magic-only mitigations were awkward, so it's nice to see them have reduced effect against physical now. The improved self-healing is also really welcome.

    Holy shit, NIN no longer wastes TCJ if they don't release movement completely before tapping it.

    Those look like significant buffs to MCH's damage output, which they sorely needed. I don't know if that Flamethrower buff even matters - I don't think that makes it competitive with other options still?

    Lets you adjust the timing of leylines a bit during the fight too though (without losing uptime), doesn't it? A bit of QoL in that.

    Arcane Circle
    Circle of Sacrifice effect now also grants stacks of Immortal Sacrifice when you or party members successfully land an ability.
    wait isn't that already what circle of sacrifice did? and what does that have to do with Arcane Circle?

    The game logo and opening movie displayed when launching the game will now change according to player progression through the main scenario.
    If multiple characters are present on the same service account, the setting will be determined by the character who has progressed furthest.
    * When first logging in after the release of Patch 7.1, the game logo and opening movie of the most recent expansion you own will be displayed. The setting will take effect after logging in or out subsequently.

    Players can also choose to display the game logo and opening movie from a specific expansion upon launch. This setting can be adjusted via "Title Screen Displayed on Launch" under the Other Settings tab of the System Configuration menu.
    * You can only select from among expansions you own for the platform you are currently playing on.
    * A set title screen is displayed on free trial accounts.

    Sure has.
    The combo requirement for Crimson Strike has been removed, and it will now require the status effect "Crimson Strike Ready" to execute.
    As noted on the Lodestone, the actions Inferno, Earthen Fury, and Aerial Blast were incorrectly set to 750 potency, despite their descriptions stating a potency of 800. This issue has been resolved, and their values now match their descriptions.
    An issue when playing as summoner or scholar wherein the effects of job traits did not apply to pet actions.

    did the new dungeon, 3/4 had bis but it doesn't matter that much because a lot of stuff just kills you. I was the only person to not die on the final boss, which was good because I was the healer

    I feel like my biggest obstacle with black mage is that the damn spell sfx are actually super quiet in combat, i can't hear when my spells finish so I have to keep looking down at the buttons so I don't screw up casting. Like I have muscle memory of my rotation pretty well down now but I regularly drop rotation as soon as I have to keep my eyes on a boss.

    I think I might just go back to samurai. Or maybe take another run at monk.

    Move the cast bar to screen center? Also since you can buffer skills early it's not too bad.

    Can also set limited vfx and just tap the next button in the rotation until you see animation go off.

    My eyes ain't great, if I focus on the cast bar it takes me a decent moment to like re-track to the action. And if I have a lot of stuff in the middle of the screen I might not lose track of the cast but I'll definitely not see the incoming aoe.

    I just need a real obvious sound on spell completion, at least for busier content. Which a lot of classes do have, just not blm.

    The new Alliance Raid made me strangely nostalgic for a game that I only played for a couple weeks. I never even made it to Jeuno (started in Bastok, got stuck in the dunes).

    DPS-wise it's a buff at 100 and a nerf at lower levels (if you care because you happen to be in a min ilvl no echo old content static *cough cough*).

    The potency buffs on your other abilities more than make up for losing two nastronds.

    did the new raid, it's both mechanically more difficult but less punishing than a typical alliance raid so I only died on the second and third bosses. didn't get around to either extreme or unreal, but I'm not too worried. byakko is a wimp and I don't need any 725 weapons

    The new Unreal is probably the second easiest one they ever put out, only beating Ultimate Weapon.
