Nothing quite wraps up a uniquely American tradition like the Super Bowl quite like the uniquely American tradition of a mass shooting.

Given we've put on 4 celebration parades (Royals World Series in 2015, and now the three owls) ending at Union Station and normally have one of the largest St Patrick's day parades in the country, I though we had a great handle on accommodating crowds with only some illegal parking, public intoxication/urination and the occasional fist fight being the black marks on these events. But sadly, given we've got more guns than people in this Bizzaro nation it was probably only a matter of time for this type of tragedy occurred.

Deshaun Watson is being sued again for coercing a disabled massage therapist into sex

Oh wow ,who could have seen that coming?

who the fuck is leaving a disabled person alone in a room with Deshaun Watson? That's not a rhetorical question, any responsible employer should be doing better, that's disgraceful.

But anyway, here's a half hour of Jason Kelce talking about blocking nuance with (legendary in these circles) bodybuilder/coach John Meadows, if that's a thing you're into (I so am).

    This is great

It’s also really funny because Jason’s description of the disadvantages of running from gun were a major issue for the Eagles’ offense this year lol

That's what's interesting to me when players stick up for their coaches, you know that some of the veterans 100% know better.

The got the punt god and get the pay him the minimum salary at less than a 1/3 of what they were paying Townsend? Sounds pretty decent to me.

    NCAA 2025

EA is now in the process of sending contracts to the more than 11,000 players set to be added to its game’s rosters, asking them to opt in.

If a player agrees, they will be paid $600 plus a free copy of the game. If they remain a college player the following season and appear in a potential College Football 26 next year, they will be paid again. Players aren’t expected to perform any additional tasks for this money, and the payout is guaranteed regardless of whether the game is a success.

The franchise tag for a QB is $38 mil, so it already went over.

It's just interesting to see teams like the Packers or Niners who were projected to be over the cap, now end up under it.

I really hope it passes, even just for the content. It's so early in the season, everyone still thinks they have a chance. So of course nobody's moving off anyone outside of rare instances.

Lots of rumors about the Vikings trading Justin Jefferson.

Probably a smart move and probably what the Giants should have done when Saquon was still under contract.

Unless they resign him to a decent deal.

The number of star RB's in free agency this year is nuts. Raiders say they plan on offering Jacobs a deal but with the rise of Zamir White I don't see him returning.

Seems dumb, not sure I'd trust that rumor. You don't trade one of the best WR's in the league. Even if Kirk isn't coming back, you can grab another QB (I'd trade for Fields given how he torched the Lions, but I'm not sure the Bears would do that haha).

edit: WR is way more valuable than RB. Even if there are more and more young WR's coming into the league that are good, you still have your Rice's, Toney's, etc.

You do if you don’t expect to resign him. Jefferson gets you a 1st round pick plus. If you aren’t resigning you get another year where the team most likely still isn’t going to win…then he’s gone. And you have nothing.

I have no clue if he will be traded. It’s just coming up a lot right now

I understand the value argument, but I also wonder if the risk that the 1st rounder is a flop is worth it. You're trading the privilege of paying the guys salary for a 1st rounder, which is awfully good on paper. However, there is also some extra value to the team in that you already have a bird in hand that has been successful for your team. It's also nice for the fans to have heroes that stick around with the team. This is an entertainment product first, and that kind of thing matters.

Speaking as somebody who is still pissed off about my team trading away McCaffrey.

    I would download a car.

I just wish free agency would start already so I can get a feel what team I’ll be looking at next year with the Texans.

So many of our current vets were on one year deals, but we also have insane cap space.

Currently hoping we keep Greenard (though he’s probably gonna be VERY expensive) and probably Schultz, and that we reach for one of those top RBs. Rumor has it Saquon’s interested, or at the very least talking to players here.

    https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10110895-dolphins-tyreek-hill-sued-accused-of-breaking-womans-leg-during-football-drills

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill is being sued for battery, assault and negligence after allegedly breaking a woman's leg during a backyard football lesson at his Florida home, according to a lawsuit obtained by Ben Ashford of the Daily Mail.
Influencer Sophie Hall says that Hill charged at her with "crushing force" after she managed to "hold her own" and knock him backward during football drills. The hit by Hill knocked her to the ground and resulted in her leg being broken.
Hall signed her child, who is an offensive lineman, up for Hill's football camp last May, and the wide receiver eventually flew her out to his home just outside of Miami, according to the lawsuit.

Mike Brown is definitely incredibly miserable about having to pay Joey B. I’m pretty sure he’s the least wealthy owner now as Davis has been given a shit done of free real estate/Vegas amenities to monetize
