How Do Lawyers Work in the [Twitter] Thread: now with (failed) Bolivian Coups

edited June 27 in Social Entropy++
Here be the Twitter thread, the thread wherein we post dumb things, funny things, newsy things and all kinds of things from everyone’s favorite(???) bird themed Social Media site, which still is undergoing its era of management by the World’s Stupidest Man, who finds himself being sued for basically painting a target on some random dude’s back because he thinks spreading conspiracy theories he found online equals upholding the values of free speech. Because he is a very stupid man:

It’s also the thread where the Tanuki Go:

The Twitter thread: a wild and varied living thing full of surprises and tonal dissonance, much like the thing it’s named for.

The depths of Musk's idiocy consistently amaze me. Just when I think he can't possibly be more detached from objective reality than he already seems to be, he says or does something that severs yet another bond and becomes somehow even more dangerously unmoored.

The man is adrift in a sea of madness, sitting in a dingy that is constantly under threat of being capsized by roiling waves of insanity.

I don't think people should be put in jail just for being stupid, as a rule

But I do think Elon Musk should be put in jail for his stupidity, on top of all the other things he should actually be in jail for

it finally clicked for me - that Musk transcript is basically just the Always Sunny will reading scene

So, apparently Mr. Spiro, Musks's "lawyer" was not actually authorized to practice law in Texas during that entire deposition and Bankston has filed for sanctions against him for that. Along with everything else Spiro was doing during said deposition.

    Also:

So now that we found out this is one of Elon's burners, we have confirmed that he's the most divorced AND dumped motherfucker in the known galaxy.

Made all the worse by the fact Grimes is suing him just to be allowed to see her son.

    Jesus Christ. What a psycho.

and also he deleted that account when discovery began; aka spoiling evidence

You know I got some fresh getting divorced wounds right here, but at least this Elon guy makes me feel better about not being the most divorced motherfucker of all time. Good to have an example of what not to be.

I love how blue checks went from something valuable, because you couldn't buy them, to something worthless - because you could buy them.

I really hope business teachers are taking notes on all of this for the "Examples of waht not to do" file in business school.

The continued destruction of Twitter's branding is kind of incredible.

Yeah, really filling out the "I can't believe we have to teach this 101" class in how to not run a business

Unfortunately, it seems like it isn't a required course for MBAs

It really depends on how devoted to Musk those teachers are. Being a teacher and probably an expert in the subject doesn't mean they get rid of whatever type of hero worship billionaires attract. There will probably be a bunch of competing theories ranging from him being an absolute disaster all the way to claiming he is playing 5d chess and Twitter is stronger than ever, just wait a bit and see.

    Trump is a Delusional Narcissist.

Milei may genuinely believe that his cloned dogs are the reincarnations of various Right-Libertarian demagogues and literally consults them for advice while hearing voices that aren’t there.

No I am not joking or being hyperbolic, those are things that have been reported about and/or seen in interviews with the man.

Well if they don’t fix things they’ll at least be entertaining, and what harm could they really cause with all our checks and balances right?
