I finished the Netflix Vince doc and it's basically just the story of WWE and doesn't really give you any insight into Vince at all. You get some weird Vince answers about stuff, but it's just weird double talk about him being a character and not himself and talking about business and it doesn't make sense so it's hard to follow.
It really glides over all the bad stuff that Vince has done despite covering it and giving a lot of excuses from people. I'm surprised that Trish and Heyman are so willing to give excuses for what he's done. They give Stephanie and the fans praise for the women's revolution.
They talk about how successful WWE has been without Vince, but they're pretty even-handed about the reasons he got forced out.
I’m going to have my girlfriend watch the Vince documentary without me in the room so I can get her honest reaction to it, because I have a theory that we’re too in the weeds to think something is doing a good or bad job covering how shitty someone or some situation is. It has seemed to bear out with other Netflix documentaries, where I think they’re bad at covering the subject but the average person gives it glowing reviews (the Urban/Tebow Florida doc in particular stands out to me here). So like with the Vince one, I’m going to be annoyed with it because I’m the kind of person who listened to the Behind the Bastards and read Ringmaster, but my girlfriend has no connection whatsoever to this so her reaction might be closer to what the average person gets.

That's not a terrible idea, because I'm getting the impression that if you paid any attention to backstage shit over the years, which I did, way too much, then there's really nothing in here you won't have heard about already and probably know more about than they're covering. It'd be interesting to get a less inside perspective.
1) Silence 2) Books must be returned by the last date shown 3) Do not interfere with the nature of causality
The doc was clearly designed for non wrestling fans, not sure why anyone expected otherwise. No major company is gonna put out something that most people won't understand, that is what youtube is for.
It was made before the recent allegations came out and was originally a puff piece so it was never going to be that hard hitting.

Supposedly Tony's adding injury time (a thing he said before he'd try to never do, and has never done before) to Fenix's deal, so Penta will be available for WWE soon (his deal's up within two months) and his brother won't be able to join him for another year
Injury time sucked and sucks a lot whenever WWE pulls it to hold talent hostage, it sucks now and here too. The two talent in question clearly already feel unhappy there, this won't make it better, and if Fenix is already sitting he has no incentive to not sit the next year because if he is active and gets hurt again it'll continue to be held against him
To be fair, Khan was using Fenix a fair amount in singles for a while, and it sounded like Death Triangle would get another push until they were known to be leaving.
I completely agree though - I'd rather see the tag division/belts get a bigger push than the "all multiman matches, all the time" routine we've seen lately. I think the fans responding to the Bang-Bang Gang, BCC, and the Conglomeration probably keeps pushing it that way though.

I don't know how these contracts work, but if Fenix was paid throughout his injury then I get being a bit miffed that they were negotiating with WWE like there would be no injury time added since Tony has been screwed a few times on that front. And ultimately it's not in AEW's favour to grant WWE a boon. At the same time I complained when WWE kept Pac off TV until his contract ended basically out of spite. I guess the difference with AEW is that they can still work independents as far as I understand and it's more likely Fenix would be used on TV. It's hard to know whose side to fall on.
The rule of thumb is, in a labor dispute between a worker and a company, you take the side of the worker. The worker isn't always right, but the company is almost always wrong.

i remember rick rude being on raw and nitro the same night
it turned out that didnt kill either company, no one was hurt, rick and his family got paid when he otherwise wouldn't have because of the lloyd's deal, the wrestling business moved on.
I always lean towards siding with talent, but Fenix was out a lot for injuries and visa issues. Assuming he was paid during those time, I could understand why his contact might be one that Khan tries to reinforce for a full length.
It also feels like an odd fit. Whenever I venture into the wild world of online wrestling fans, the wwe fans seem to hate the aew style of tag matches with uninforced tag rules, flips all over the place, jumps onto planned groups of people outside the ring, etc. The Luchas are the poster children of that style they claim to hate, I wonder how that will work out.

As someone who's only really watched WWE since like April and not a lot else, that all sounds like stuff that's the norm in WWE. With the exception of the biggest (size wise) dudes matches maybe.

The twitter haters on both sides only hate stuff when it's happening in the company they don't like.
An AEW star is in rough shape after a scary medical situation. Former AEW Trios, Tag Team and TNT champion Luchasaurus, aka Killswitch is recovering after his fiance found him collapsed on Friday, September 27. He was rushed to the hospital where they found his blood oxygen below 80 percent and determined he had pneumonia in both lungs. It was discovered that he was days away from permanent lung damage. Killswitch has been on oxygen in the days that have followed, and was told to expect a recovery of over a month. His in-ring return is unclear. Fightful gained permission from those close to Killswitch/Luchasaurus before running this article.
Except the official graphic came out and it's going to be a title vs title match EXCEPT the continental title is only on the line for the first 20 minutes.
Y'all, just don't put the titles on the line we'll still watch an Okada and Danielson match, what are you doing.

I thought he did something like that with Omega?

non-compete clauses have always been bullshit
I didn't care about that because it sounde like an amicable thing since Omega is one of the founders.

I can't believe this is how I find out that Happy Gilmore is getting a sequel.

Me: Oh, is it that time again?
This might have been his longest run as a face. And TBF Truth kind of deserved it this time.
Although reporting him as TNT champion is incorrect. He obviously was the co-holder with Christian Cage.

Danielson cut a promo in the woods and challenged Okada to a match for the AEW title.
