It's like someone saying "If there were two people on two different parallel tracks about to be run over by train, which one would you save?"
Why can't you save both?

Pragmatism has it's place but often it just seem like the easy solution without looking at all possible options
ie
I'm all for doing a little bit of evil to do a great amount of good but you beter be damn sure that not only is that little bit going to result in the good but also there isn't a way to so the great amount of good without it.

there was also this poem about this old, drecepid skeleton of a warrior leaning on a sword or something and basically the whole thing was about social entropy
basically I laze around the house contributing nothing
but starting September I'm taking baking as a trade
also my ambitions include not being a baker because that was my third god damned choice on the application
(also I've been wanting to enlist in the reserves for a while now but again, I'm lazy and never get around to finding out where the recruitment office is)
also also I'd like to chill somewhere cold and desolate for a while just to say I did
