RU helpfully misinterpreted his powers? Instead giving the JTF the bonus not himself? Lol lmao.

I guess we never activated since the village locked down hard on arranging around their initial faction divide.

Thanks for running @Edcrab! Was a lot of fun.

Cult just used PMs but they weren't super interesting. We mostly said "let's sit back and let Ringo and Infidel argue with each other"

    That’s the exact gameplan!

Okay I’m laughing my head off that Edcrab setup a big bloody internal conflict that never ignited across the village, and so the JTF didn’t have to jump in and take a side, and everyone played it mostly straight mafia game so cult was hosed.

Yeah Cult seemed real underdogs with how it played out.

I mean thats infuriating, but also hilarious

I guess from the village point of view.. he really was a hero. He saw another way

Yeah Cult seemed real underdogs with how it played out.

This was one of my first messages in our PMs
Okay so we have 27 people, an understrength 4 mafia, likely 5 "outsiders" with their own wincons and abilities, probably 2 9 member village factions who really are just a common wincon village though. Let's hope the buffs are significant or the village doesn't realize they all win if we specifically die

  • Options
    InfidelInfidel Heretic Registered User regular
Yeah we looked at same info and I was like “let’s kill mafia for our win con and avoid hitting outsiders, before village starts considering a turn on us.”

Cult having conversions or infiltrators meant our biggest risk was lack of yellow names, some grey deaths and one village faction taking a beating, before the other faction decides “hmm no we are good with cult thanks.”

I think we were both down to 4 pretty close to immediately; that (and the Cult syrvivors claiming Arcadian) was why I mentioned that the Cult + Village wincon looked doable.

Yeah I figured our best shot was one faction getting killed and then going "psst you know you can technically win with the cult right? right???" to the other one

The game was perfect if not for the players

Not sure how to defend against "not spoil or Infidel" though
We work with the limited options we have. Votes on Munkus Beaver, Phyphor, Sir Fabulous and spool32 didn't stick. There's enough folk suspicious of you that these votes are sticking.

AustinP0027. If I'm wrong, I apologize. Your spreadsheet is awesome, and I appreciate your googlescripting skills.
Well now I'm extra not sorry. :joy:

Auralynx and I were really worried that Ringo would decide he'd had enough of people defending Infidel and heel turn on the Arcadians on the last day...

edit: well, I was. Aura was worried about literally every possible permutation of disaster :)

Have any of the phalla kinetics ever been a straight faction game or has there always been a mafia element

There's always some sort of mafia. Last time had two mafias IIRC

I think without a mafia (or vote) I couldn't really call them phallas still, so yeah each instalment had at least one omni-hostile faction that the majority of players want to do away with

But I am very much considering not-a-phallas (forum strategy games?) that are suspiciously similar to prior Phallakinetics but, GASP, lack a nightly voting mechanic

but without a nightly vote, how can we baselessly accuse one another?

wait, I'm being silly, we'd just do it anyway

i mean half of the reason the whole ;'fake narration' thing worked is because we all wondered what the fuck else would happen

the other half of the reason is that ed is evil

Well, that was the most epic catching-up of catching-ups!

I mostly stayed quiet and took the hits so people would hopefully get nervous about why it wasn't working. My life for HQ!

Thanks for running @Edcrab this one was great

It's a bit of a shame that the Cult records were in PMs.
@MamaWolf what was going on day 4 after I sort of revealed to you as the person who probably hit you for five, but claimed one damage?

Ultimately, this is all I wanted. But yeah, Ed, I totally interpreted my PM as being that I had to get voted out, not just voted for. Oh well.

I said I was down to 1 life!

This was my response after you said you pinged me!

"I was hit for one first night and then brought down to one health. I don't know how many people shot at me, but it wasn't very nice 😕"

Day 1 result: MamaWolf took 1 damage last night and was Dazed.
    Day 2: nothing
Day 3: Down to 1 life

    MamaWolf on
"May the moon watch over you and keep you safe through the night, 'till the morning comes and MamaWolf can protect you through the day"

we were a bit on the back foot tactically because as far as we could tell we never got told how attacks broke down

'youre at X life' but we didnt get told the damage type, or if it was multiple attacks

which I guess is probably a result of Phalla Madness consuming ed back in the 70 player days so he simplified it

It was in the group conversation

I was trying to get people to attack versus vote me because we had 1 auto revive if someone died to attack.
