Symbols in MS Word (can't find the one I want)

I'm trying to find a specific symbol to insert into a Word document I'm writing about a book set in Japan. I can't find it in any of the symbols included with my copy of the program.

The symbol would be the letter "a" with a flat line over the top, like the one in this word over the o - "Rōmaji"

How can I do this? If someone would be kind enough to simply find this symbol and then enter it into a reply, I could then copy that over into Word and use it from there.

Thanks for any help any of you can provide.

    There you go: ā

EDIT: I don't know where to find it on Windows. I'm on Mac OS X and it's right there in my character "palette".

BTW, in Windows, the place to look for this kind of thing is the Character Map (Start --> Run... charmap)

This will bring up all of the characters a font can produce. You can then select any character you want and copy it to the clipboard.

(According to the character map, that line thing is called a Macron. Learned something new today :))

I don't believe it - I'm on my THIRD PS3, and my FIRST XBOX360. What the heck?
