I've been looking for a reliable backup system for Windows XP that is automatic and seamless. I would like to back up automatically to an external hard drive every time the hard drive is plugged into the machine (which ends up being roughly once a week), and it would be nice to also schedule an automatic network backup to my file server on occasion as well.
Anyone have any suggestions? I keep hearing about Robocopy, which I understand is a Microsoft product that works through the command prompt (maybe?) but it seems too nebulous to set up. I'm looking for windows-based software solution for this, and wouldn't mind paying for one if it was really spectacular.
Don't be too alarmed when you see their online store - the enterprise class version is at the top of this list and is $1500... I use the "pro" version which is $120 and worth every penny.
