Seriously, get over your obsession with Asians and move on to something more fun / cool / your own age. Go to Europe. Visit France, do some wine tasting. Go to some island in the Caribbean and get tan for the first time in your life. Go ANYWHERE else.

Europe? Been there countless times. UK? Done France? Done. Germany? Done. Switzerland? Done. Spain? Done. Netherlands/Belgium? Done. Austria? Done. I already have visted the carrabbien. The point of vactions is to vist somewhere where I have never gone before. Japan? Never went there, btu now have. Loved it so much now I am preparing myself to move there.

Thats in Canada and not a vaction.

I know, but you said you are preparing yourself to move to japan. What's gonna happen to the townhouse in canada? Or are you just gonna have both? Also, you know you have to have a very very secure job in japan or they kick you out pretty much.

I'd love to know how a white guy from Canada is going to get a job in Japan. Especially in a country as xenophobic as Japan with such a high unemployment rate. If native Japanese are having trouble getting jobs, what's going to get you ahead? Because regardless if you learn to speak Japanese and read the language (ignoring the fact that it takes years to even become profecient in it), you're going to be a fish out of water.

On topic the prices for two $8,985.42. Going there is a stop at Vancouver and coming back has a stop over at Beijing as quoted by Expedia. Which frankly is a little pricey but its for two people. My Japanese ticket was around $3000 - $3500 for one person. I don't think its bad but I will have to check the hotels.

This is for 2008 though. From the 12th of April till the 21 April.

If this is that much I might as well take her to Japan. Hokkido and Tokyo will be our stops or just go to Shanghai.

The house will be sold to my parents or I will put it on the market and let them decide and then send the money over.

The company I am working for has a office in Tokyo. Its just a matter of learning the language, which aside from Kanji (which I have just started to learn, Hiragana is now readable as with Katakana) and then applying. With my contacts here and the fact that I have worked with Japanese side fixing thier macros, I don't foresee a problem. Of course I got to prepare for everything. Which in that case if off to Singapore or somewhere close where my parents have contacts, getting a job and then going there every year.

Its not internet rage. I'm not even mildly upset. Its the fucking internet.

Just because I'm using stronger language doesn't mean I'm upset. It means I am trying a different avenue to get it through your head, since you don't listen to anyone and just spout off whatever you think. The topic of this thread is "Future Trip to South Korea". The point is, should you go to South Korea.

I think I answered that question pretty handily.

    In addition, what is vaction?

I went to Puerto Rico with my girlfriend over the winter to visit her family for the week. The ticket cost us 300$ round trip.

Why would you want to spend 8 kajillion dollars to go to south korea when you can go somewhere much better, for much cheaper.

Hell, you could fly to Bali or Tahiti or Fiji for less than that.

I will have to research it first. Of course if she wants to go that is. Otherwise, I will come alone.

So Viv, what is there to see in Shanghai? I will probablly get the Lonely Planets guide anyway to see, but if you could recommend some stuff them thats fine as well. Since you said your free on the weekends and evenings I will leave it up to you otherwise I have to plan out for the daytime.

Man K_A, i wish i were as fucking loaded as you. Hopefully someday I will be. I mean fuck, you've been all across Europe, building a townhouse, dropping 8k on a trip to south korea like its nothing. I mean, damn thats a lot of spending.

EDIT: I just realized I MAKE 8k in one year. Ash is planning a trip that is over one year's worth of my current living requirements - and that's just for tickets.

I haven't decided yet so I haven't paid anyway. All the Europe was with my Family. It didn't hold much promise except the battle sites. I am a somewhat historical fanatic so the parents took me places when I was a kid. Museums where I could see Dinosaurs and such were seen. It was a 6 month long vacation so I have lived for sometime in Europe. Going back will be like seeing the same thing.

Going to South Korea/China/Japan is/was new because I haven't ever been there plus its like uncharted territories for me.

April 12-21 2008 for somewhere call Taegu,South Korea is giving me that price. This is for two by the way. Not for one. I wouldn't go on that price anyway.

No we decided that since the tickets would cost more, I shall pay for it while she is in charge of hotel and food. I shall provide spending money as well. That way we have divided our stuff equally so it both of "our" trips instead of either one of ours.

    katchang that is just dumb

a week at a hotel doesnt cost that much, unless she tries to find a real expensive place
which i doubt she would be trying to do
probably she will get you a couple of beds in a hostel and pay like $200 all up

and i dunno about you but i rarely spend $5000 a week on food

but hey i guess since you are providing spending money you can even things out by...i dunno buy her a laptop?
