Trying to get the contacts off a motorola w315 cellphone. The phone's display is fucked. Phone does power on and everything. I have the usb cable for the phone.
My thing is, I've never used this usb cable (or any really) to access anything on the phone. Is there some sort of software I need. Ideally I'd like to stick them into a new phone (same model) but if I could at least view & print them that would be fine too.
I did some googling but didn't get much, maybe I just chose poor search words.
When I plug it into the usb cable windows finds new hardware, but I have no idea what drivers/software I should install. I can't just browse to it like a flash memory or anything either.
I'm running win XP
edit: I should put in that I'm looking to do this free. I don't care enough to pay money for a one time fix
Find the correct forum for your phone. I can't find too much info about that phone, as people tend not to hack with that model.
You will need the USB driver regardless found here
your phone should then show up as a USB modem device in the device manager. Bit pm may or may not have the profile... there are some other tools, but it will require some google searching to find them, as they aren't kosher to trade publicly.

Go forth and download and be happy. Check to make sure it works with your phone.
