When's the last time you mailed a letter
You know, a physical piece of paper with a message for someone that you put in an envelope and slap a stamp on it and drop it in a mailbox
I got some postcards recently and I realized that I think it's been a couple years since I mailed anything that wasn't a bill.

They absolutely do not. A bill is a bill.

it wasn't necessary, it was an extra piece of effort you put in, a little sign that you were thinking of someone
and how they stink

Absentee ballot request/absentee ballot?
I've sent the occasional card I think, or letters written and included in packages that I've sent as gifts
If we're going strictly letter though, that's probably nearly a decade ago, I was in a messy-ish relationship-ish thing with a person a couple states away and we'd send each other letters (in addition to other methods of communication, it was just a nice additional thing)
I dropped off social media entirely, so I keep a list of friends who don't live near me anymore and send out postcards everytime I travel
It's been nice! Turns out postcards are great!

with a paid return envelope at least three times a quarter.
It was a sad letter, so I don't like to think about it much.
But for work purposes Im mailing stuff all the time, but don’t think that’s in the spirit of it.
Before that, I regularly posted stuff from my previous job which ended in July 2023. Not a ton, but maybe 3 things a week or so, there's a few government forms that are still mail only.
For me, for myself, I have a vague recollection of searching for a mailbox during the initial covid lockdown and realizing the 2 closest to my house had been moved. I can't recall what I'd be mailing though.
But my partner and I mail goofy postcards back and forth intermittently as kind of a care gesture (we live about 5 miles apart). Last one I sent was probably about 2 months ago though, so I'm about due.

Also, the business office made it a real pain in the ass to buy new stamps, so I've been working my way through several sheets of these we bought years ago for a now-defunct library penpal program:
"Heart eyes emoji! You're banned from the system for life because you sicced your pit bull on someone in the parking lot. Love ya!"
Because if so, probably a few months back
Wait, your home address is publicly listed?
Phone book logic gets weird if you plug it into the internet, it turns out, and nobody's prepared to change it.
if not? I have no idea
