The transition team has drafted a new document of Guiding Principles and New Rules for our community. These rules will go into effect on November 25. 2024.
Seems like they're signaling Blasphemous 3 might be a thing but The Penitent One probably won't be the protag?
He survives in the new ending but takes his helmet off and leaves Mea Culpa and it on the bench, seemingly indicating his long penance is finally over.
The after credits has a scene teasing what could be a future villian.
I finally got back internet and power just in time for my power supply to die. My switch has been getting a hell of a workout the past 2 weeks. (Its fine I already ordered a new one)

For any Monkey Island fans, especially those of Curse -
Maybe not the right place to ask, but with the potential imminent doom of the forums, is G and T still doing Secret Santa this year?
Also, I've been looking at takoyaki pans, which reminded me of that Secret Santa (or potentially Secret Satan from the other subforum) who gifted people something called like "aebleskiver" pans which was a tool to make some sort of Danish pastry ball, but I can't find the original post/poster anymore.
So, I've maxed out my Supermarket and my Gas Station management is getting stale. Is the next big Steam sale Black Friday - and does it generally start on that Friday or is it a weeklong thing?

Autumn sale is the 27th to the 4th. so starts the day before thanksgiving and goes to the 4th

IIRC Valve decided it made more sense to announce when their sales would be for the year before they actually happen, so they're listed on the internet so people can plan ahead/budget accordingly.
Karoz is so classy that he gave me a key for 'Sifu'!!!
This is so sick! That game is so sick!
Ask me anything about Sifu I know too much I must offload.
Why game seem like it want you to parry when really wants you to dodge?
Both lead to the same outcome.
Story spoiler
The true ending requires you to parry the bosses to death, the dodge is for when you first fight them, learning to parry all their attacks is how you spare them.
Morninglord on
(PSN: Morninglord) (Steam: Morninglord) (WiiU: Morninglord22) I like to record and toss up a lot of random gaming videos here.
I'm a good chunk of the way through Dungeons of Hinterberg now and it just keeps getting better. Movement still feels wrong, and I would love a run speed boost, but everything else is great. I especially love how the dungeons are all so varied, they each feel like the developer playing around with an idea or type of puzzle, but they're still quite substantial, much bigger than the shrines in Zelda BotW or TotK.
For some reason I was convinced there was a 25 day time limit, so I needed to hit a dungeon every day and choose the most important people to build friendships with... but no, there's no time limit at all, there's not even a 'complete the game in X days' achievement. Maybe I just assumed that because the friendship stuff is kinda Persona-like, and Persona 5 had a strict time limit and certain friendships you needed to build to get the real ending? At any rate, the game's vibes are very chill (this is the protagonist's holiday, after all), and now that I know I'm not fighting a deadline I can enjoy the chill vibes a bit more myself.

I thought there was a time limit too. The game framed it as "I'm gonna take a vacation for a month" which I mean sure that makes sense.
But no later she's like "Yeah I just quit my job to putz around in Hinterberg."

I'm really glad I still have about eight Like a Dragon games to drown myself in right about now.
Karaoke minigames and oddball japanese humor, whisk me away in your big manly bike destroying arms.
Extra-Life is gonna be on Saturday, November 16th, probably will start around 11am EST until I get tired. Year 14! (wtf) I plan on playing a lot of single player stuff, but I might get something silly going like a Dokapon game or Fortune Street if my discord friends are around. Of course a few dota games, because I am an addict and a new hero should be coming soon :tm:. As usual, all donations are tax deductible and will be going to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).
In lieu of birthday gifts on Steam this year (I'll be 35, again wtf), please consider donating to my Extra-Life instead! We'll be doing the same deal as it's worked wonders the past decade, but I'll be doing two raffles specifically for PA peoples. If you donate at least $5 between now and November 17th, you'll get entered to win:
$100 in Steam gift monies!
A game on Steam of your choice (I can be talked into other platforms if you'd prefer as well)!
You can donate here, or you can watch here. Any little bit helps, but even if you don't have monies you can help by sharing my Extra-Life page, or by AFKing in the channel to help boost viewership.
Gentle reminder this is in 9 days. I understand that recent US news may make you re-establish your priorities, especially financially, rendering you unable to donate at this time. Please consider sharing the link or planning to AFK in the channel to help boost viewership. Appreciate you all.
Hi Steam Deck (OLED) owners. Is there a specific dock you like to use? Like, specifically for hooking up to the TV, Switch style. There's obviously the official one, but I've heard a lot that off brand ones are just fine for this purpose. And if there is one you like, do you need a better power source for it? That's what a lot of user reviews on Amazon and Reddit are saying, just wondering on your thoughts here.
I have a JSAUX dock (the 3 USB ports version) and it's been excellent so far, and works just fine with the Deck's included AC adapter. I like its metal chassis as well, it feels very strong.
rahkeesh2000 is right with that resolution advice though. The only game I ever really played at 4K, a resolution usually well out of the Deck's reach, was Worms WMD. The Deck has more than enough horsepower to push that at 4K, and with its art style it looks great like that - and console versions can't do 4K at all. But yeah, the UI is better kept at a lower resolution.
Bought something very similar to this, will be taking it for a spin this weekend, once I have some free time again.

That's why I made sure to donate early; can't fail to donate in terror of what's to come if I've already pressed the button.
I haven't seen this mentioned yet. A new wireless controller for Steam from Hori is available for preorder. Looks to have a lot of the features from Valve's Steam Controller (minus trackpad).

I fucking love these Wuxia RPGs like Wandering Sword, Hero's Adventure and now World of Kung Fu.
Some of them really let you go deep in the paint on shit like becoming a weird hermit beastmaster with an army of woodland critters. I know thats in Hero's Adventure and I've seen a method to tame beasts in World of Kung Fu aswell.

So after quite a bit of time searching for it under a completely wrong name I finally rediscovered my very first MMO, which I played in something like fourth grade (I just turned 37 a month ago).
And by some miracle there are both legacy and rebuilt servers running for it still! It is called The Realm. I'm so glad my memories of it weren't just a weirdly vivid fever dream.
Now if I could just find my favorite song on the radio from that time period...

I remember that game.
It was certainly a game.
Also I think it was called "The Realm Online" because it was from a period where online games all needed to add "Online" to them so you'd know they were online.
My first one was Shadowbane. Probably not the best introduction to the genre. Then City of Heroes, which is a shining jewel of a game. Then WoW. And more WoW, and still more WoW. Not sure I played any others between WoW and giving New World a shake, and boy was that a total shitshow.
Having not so much spending money when young (and prefering to buy full games that didn't require ongoing payments), most of my early MMO memories are from free trials of a bunch of games. I remember Asheron's Call 2 and WWII Online being if not the first ones at least the ones that left me the bigger impact.
I don't think I've actually paid cash-money for a monthly subscription of an MMO ever, unless you count iRacing.
Finally beat Tactics ogre. Man that last set of fights is a real bit of "cuz screw you that's why." I'm shocked I was able to play/beat/enjoy this game as a yoot.
Puzzle Pirates was my gateway, and City of Heroes my first "real" MMO.
The common factor was that neither had much in common with the then-dominant paradigm. Neither was Generic Fantasy, you could dress how you like, there wasn't a strong emphasis on raiding or PvP, etc.

FFXI and Matrix Online here. MxO was wonderful community wise. They had staff who would enter the game and play as people like Morpheus or Trinity and interact with guild leaders and schedule meetings.

The monsters were Karlach, Scratch, and the owlbear cub.
This was an honor mode run almost ready to close out act 2.

Free fangame inspired by the third game. The translation is a little dicey(the devs are Italian), but the visuals are great so far.
Does Withers not work in honor mode or something?

Ten million years to reboot my PC every time. Sigh.
Withers can't bring back Scratch and there is some heart rending random dialogue that happens if he's gone.
