I am so glad! I was extremely worried they were trying to do something shady so kept quiet.
Ah, I didn't put details since I replaced the original thread explanation, but just so you know:
The explanation was that they never meant for people to be able to pay rent late online, and they always wanted us to have to pay it in person with a money order if we were behind, so at some point recently someone corrected that.
Not ideal or convenient, but nothing particularly ominous either.
(Original post was me explaining that I had a 30 day notice to pay my rent or leave, as required, but that the button had disappeared for me to make a payment when I wanted to do so, and I couldn't get in touch with anyone because it was the weekend, and that was spiking my anxiety (well, more like triggering my PTSD), so I wanted a sanity check that it wasn't going to be anything)
