Battle Beasts were great. When I was going through my toys in early adulthood, looking for things to use as D&D minis I think, I discovered the weapons they came with fit just fine in Lego hands
edit:
I received most of my Battle Beasts alongside a pile of army ants
We had lots of different lines growing up. GI Joe, Star Wars(those were probably the biggest two,) but i had a Sectaur, the Bucky O'Hare action figure, lots of Lego, a couple of Visionaries (I think those were the ones with holograms on their chest that were wood, water, fire, etc.)
Crossbows and Catapults was fun.
And as much as I wanted them, I never did get the Six Million Dollar Man action figures in the 70's. Steve Austin had a hole in the back of his head that you could look thru and see his robot vision or something. There was a similarly sized action figure (12") that I recall being clear plastic, so you could see the robot parts inside, that also had a similar vision thing thru the back of his head. But try as I might, I can't find out what it was. None of the Bionic Man stuff looks like what I remember. And maybe its just my 7 year old memory.
I know this is going back a few pages but crossbows and catapults got rereleased just recently!
Yes! That's what I was trying to remember. They were like rock, paper, scissors, but with holograms that showed wood, water or fire. I couldn't remember what they were called
I had several from this line when I was a kid (including this guy)
The dinos were reused to make toys for museum gift shops (no armor of course, but they still had the slots you could snap the armor onto).
I've always wondered why they never made a comeback. I'm guessing it has to do with the company who's owned them since the 90s, Mattel, also having the toy rights for Jurassic Park/World.

I think I had that t-rex without the armor, from a museum gift shop.
Funnily enough, I know exactly where it likely is to this very day: buried about three feet beneath some grass sod in the backyard of a house in Palmdale. Because for whatever reason I buried it when the backyard was entirely dirt, something about dinosaurs and fossils*, and then forgot about it until long after parents had put down the grass sod a year later.
Oh man, the Creepy Crawlers cartoon. That's another one that was buried deep in there. This thread made me think of creepy crawlers a lot but I always forgot about the cartoon and action figures part of it. I recall some play feature where the heroes had goo inside them and you'd have the hold them upside down to fill the goo chamber

The only toy in remember with any really intensity is blaster from transformers. I got him for my birthday when I was eight and according to my eight year old brain, I lost him pretty much the very next day and I just had no idea what happened to him. I don’t even think I took him out of the house.
I just remember the feeling of being absolutely at a loss to what could have happened to him. I’ve thought about just using my adult money to buy a new one, but the reality is, if I bought one, I’d probably not do anything with him, but I do remember the feeling.

I was very suprisemd a few years ago to discover that in Japan they were released as a Transformers spin-off and those holograms were replaced with the Autobot and Decepticon masks.

Oh man, battle damage Hot Wheels! I had a couple of them back in the day. So good.

Literally two pages ago.
I printed a couple off last night and they just need a bit of tuning in blender but are going to come out great after paint!

*Look it made sense at the time.
Looks like Hasbro ditched the rights back in 2009 and while Diamond Select picked it up, they haven't really done anything with it either.
