Scarface for Wii - Worth getting?

As a fan of Godfather: Blackhand Edition, I was wondering if any of you fine folks out there had picked up Scarface: The World is Yours for Wii. It's due to come out today.

IGN liked it (8.5), but does anyone else have impressions?

For that matter, how about those of you who tried the older PS2, PC and Xbox versions?

Oh god! It came out today??!

    :(:(:(

I just spent $350 on my car repair bill. Crap!

As long as it plays like Godfather it's a purchase.

Oh and by the way your avatar is amazing: Penn and Teller: Bullshit is the best series on TV.

You can flip off people with the Wiimote.

Haha :) Just recently started watching the show.

But OT: I'll be buying Scarface for the Wii despite what reviews say about it. Nothing beats shooting a guy in the nuts and getting extra points for it.

Plus I love his voice. :)

Well, I picked it up a few days ago, and I'm impressed.

There's not much in the way of motion control like in Godfather: Blackhand, you just aim with the pointer and taunt / use blind rage mode by moving the nunchuck. The game may not utilize the controller in any special way, but everything works remarkably well. There are missions that I imagine would be near unplayable with a stick due to the amount of aiming while driving you'd have to do. But with the pointer? It's all good!

So basically, the solid shooting controls coupled with the focus on amassing material goods has me hooked.

Has no one else out there given it a try? It's true, it's just a straight port... But it's a good port of a good game from what I've seen so far.

It's also way too big for an avatar. Sorry.

Damn this now-gen pricing! This is a game I would totally pick up if it was ten bucks cheaper, but there is a threshold that has been crossed and it has numbed my impulse buy nerve.

Maybe I've been buying too many VC and DS games.

This is one of the Wii's current problems. They try to get us to shell out $50 on a game we can get for $30 on the other systems.

I'll probably pick it up. I always liked it on PS2, but never managed to finish it.
