It's a collision of Jets suffering and Vikings post season suffering that would have to resolve favorably for one or the other. The universe does not part with its favorite toys lightly so I'm not sure it can play out that way

I think there's a level of freedom knowing that your team wasn't supposed to be good that empowers players. This was a placeholder year. One year QB contract which only happened cause McCarthy got hurt and then Darnold gets the blessing of the NFL fairy to play way way above his pay grade.
