I got a Focus Sash! I can breed FEAR now, if I just get the Ratata pair! Then I'll have to find someone to fight one on one just so I can watch the rat beat something big. :P

Why do you need to breed a FEAR? Do you just want one that's level one? I'd advise against that. A properly leveled Raticate would be harder to catch onto than a level one Rattata.

Eh, I don't expect to ever fool anyone with it. I just want one because I think it's funny. Plus I'm sure I could find one friend with a megasweeper who would be willing to let me watch the rat beat it, just to laugh because it'd be funny.
Let me preface this with: I was not watching the thread(s) in which the Tourny rules were discussed.
But, just based on my experience around the Pokemon threads since the game has been released... Just about anything goes, with the exception of using a handful of uber-legendaries. I think most people here are well enough versed in the game to shutdown anyone using the same "cheesy" tactic over and over. I'd go as far as to tell you to go ahead and use a BP/DT strat; but, on one 'mon tops. Otherwise, you'll just get worked by Aerial Ace or what-have-yous.

I agree with BP and DT being on only one Pokemon, but preferably not on the same one. Seems like the only way we'd get a majority of people to agree to the rules.
Plus it doesn't affect me much, since I have the Machamp and a Hazer.
It's not perfect but it's okay yes? (Gak, I just noticed I have one with 29-31 SAtk and 24-26 Speed, would that be a better one to keep?)
I have a couple more questions too.
1. Does Focus Sash protect you if you're at full health and use Explode? I'm just curious. :P
2. There's an herb held item that revives fainted Pokemon? I'm surprised I don't hear complaints about it being used, is it like Double Team and most people just don't?

FEAR is, if I understand all this right:
Focus Sash
Endevor
Quick Attack
Ratata
Basicaly, you find someone with an overpowered Sweeper you'd like to have some fun with. Take your Ratata with a Focus Sash attached and knowing Quick Attack and Endeavor, and challenge them. The fight goes like this:
Ratata comes out.
Megapoke comes out.
Megapoke uses Uberattack!
Ratata holds on with its Focus Sash!
Ratata uses Endeavor.
Megapoke owner goes "O_o? Yeah well, I'll kill you next time, so there!"
Ratata uses Quick Attack.
Megapoke owner goes "$@#5"
Dead Megapoke.

If you didn't understand that and need a more direct explanation:
Lv. 1 Rattata, Taillow, etc. with said moves and Focus Sash.
Lv. 1 poke hangs on to attack with 1 HP due to Focus Sash.
Lv. 1 poke uses Endeavor to bring opponent to 1 HP.
Lv. 1 poke uses Quick Attack to strike first and finish off opponent.

edit: I did enjoy your description Ziz. :^:
Ray queasy completely owns this, as does any other Uuber/Near Uuber with any quick attacking moves, which there are quite a few of.

Any Poke that kills indirectly, kills with Quick Attacking moves, is a Ghost, or makes weather (Tyranitar) kills it. That's why it's really for someone who doesn't know about it, especially someone proud of their (hacked) level 100 full IV Garchomp or whatnot who just knows they're going to beat you.
Although if you called the switch you could use endeavor again and then they've got another poke at 1hp.
Or Pursuit, if you wanted to take the fleeing one out.
I just thought of something else, what about something with Focus Slash, Pain Split, and a Quick Attack move? I don't know if that exists, but with Pain Split you could keep healing to full HP so the Focus Slash would keep working. I'd be just as easy as FEAR to get around, but it'd still be funny to annoy someone that way if they didn't catch on too quickly. :P
Switching isn't the greatest strategy against a "FEAR" (lol), because Endeavor from a level one is going to leave you with less than 10 HP.

Bleh, scratch that all. I am bringing back Hitmontop. He was a lot better than Machamp. So I'll still go with him, Magmortar, Leafeon, Blastoise, Miltank, and Umbreon instead.
After all, why change something that actually worked?

Pretty sure Focus Sash only works once per battle but I could be wrong.
Just switch on the Quick Attack turn. Then you could finish it off with the full health pokemon to kill it before it can endeavor again.

I can give you stealth rock.
Are you sure you want a lax Phanpy? Donphan already has low sp def as it is.
eh, he's got a 31 IV in it, plus, I dunno if I'm even going to train it or not, I just like shinies. also I have a spare stealth rock, so why not.

I called it Ephelant, do you want me to rename it?
Heffalump!
Then catch him a shiny Linoone and name it Woozle!
No Guard'd Dynamic Punch and Stone Edge.
On the subject of me gloating about Lady Toast the Shiny Impish Machamp with No Guard, would anyone care to battle it?

I had a battle that went for 45 minutes last night with someone from serebii wifichat. That was ridiculous.

edit: And even then, it is easily countered if you catch it in time.
But I can't see it being used too much with the option to scale levels and even the playing field.
Most sweepers will 1 shot a Ratata no matter what its level.
