    Are you sure about that?

What about if they come from a cube game?

Can Suicunes appear in Hoenn? I got a Suicune from the GTS and the game says it's from Hoenn :S

More than likely someone transferred a suicune from one of the Gamecube games to their Sapprie/Ruby pak then transferred that to their D/P card. Either that or it's hax'd :P

    EDIT: beat'd

    Are you sure about that?

The only way to transfer the Pokémon from my Japanese Leaf Green is to trade with Emerald and then transfer to Diamond, so my Pokés say they're from Kanto.

I didn't know the game couldn't recognize the Orre region.

Does it say "apparently"? I've seen that on a couple profiles, but haven't figured out why.

I would much rather have the tickets (hacked or not) that allow access to the event pokémons, rather than hacked pokémons.

I am aware this is an extremely juvenile question

but for wifi level 100 single battles, do they act like battles in the elite 4, where you have the choice to switch a pokemon after you kill something, or is it like battle tower where you can only use a turn in order to switch

    i assume it's the latter

It is. If you want to switch mid-battle, it'll cost you a turn. They're not going to tell you what they're bringing out next either, in case you're wondering.

Wifi is obvious, level 100 means the participants are temporarily set to level 100, and single battles are the normal kind, where each player has one pokemon out at a time, as opposed to double battles, where each player has two out at a time.

You really don't know? Go to the basement of a pokemon center after you reach the first gym, you'll get a pal pad and a friend code you can use to battle and trade with specific people over nintendo wifi.

After you beat the elite four you can go to the battle tower for random wi-fi battles.

I have a similar question! Are there any level-balance options for local wireless? I looked and it seemed like all that was there was "cups" in which the level was restricted, not automatically modified.

Which are really just battles against the computer using teams it downloaded from wifi. Disappointing!

Ïs there a point to battling other people's WFC teams in the Battle Tower? Because I beat 7 of them yesterday and don't remember getting anything for it.

You get battle points, like in the other modes. You fight real teams. Or at least teams full of legendaries and high tier 1's.

Maybe I just skipped a lot of text, but I don't remember the receptionist giving me the points. I'll try again later, then.

You get the same amount of points as the normal battle tower but it's much harder.

I was able to beat the first batch of trainers but I got destroyed by a Weavile owned by the first trainer in the second run. I'd like to try again sometime. As far as I know, your rank doesn't go down if you lose. I may be wrong about this.

    Thinking about my team composition:
    Blaziken
    Gallade
    Metagross
    Garchomp
    Gengar

What stands out from what I have so far is the ground weakness, so I guess a levitator or flyer. Any ideas on what to use in the gap. Need an icebeamer really. Dragonite would mean 2 4x Ice weaknesses.

A water type could work. Or a grass type, since grass is strong to ground. Grass/poison is neutral to ground though, so watch out for that.

    Also, Gengar is a levitator.

I picked this up today on my way home from the aquarium. During my two-week sojourn in Cape Cod I plan to play Pokemon extensively. I played far enough today for Professor Rowan (totally a girl's name, by the way) to give me my Piplup, which is so cute, omg it is a penguin. I really want to use him in high-level play.

I'm wondering if this will be feasible? I would be interested in hearing advice on how I should raise him, or perhaps his descendants if it's too impractical to do Just Right on a first play-through. Also, he his a Timid nature; restart y/n?
