I'm having a hard time for Windows to recognize anything. Not many devices have gone through, but I've realized its a real fucking problem. My iPod (old Mini) works and so does my flash drive, but these were around for a long while. There is some point in there where I believe something fucked up. I don't know what to do; honestly. My camera won't work with it, and this USB-Card Reader won't work with it. Can't find any of the software, all drivers are made for 98 and SE, so I'm fucked essentially on the road.
Oh, and a brand new iPod Nano wouldn't work with it, either. Help!
This may be a long shot but you might try going to Control Panel > Admin Tools > Services and try to start/restart whichever device. I have to do this whenever I want to use my iPod mini, couldn't tell you why it happens.
The camera has worked for a good while, but then Windows became, "ZOMG! Camera!" It asks to install software every time and it HAS been installed. I don't know what the hell to do. I try to do the recommended thing and have Windows do it, but for the camera it asks for "USBB04CB.sys" A search for it comes up with nothing. But searching for "USB04CB.sys" with ONE B gives me results.
The card reader is supposed to be plug-and-play as well, says it comes with software but it lacks it. This is troubles.
