Might get caught up as parked or recently registered domains if workplaces filter for that.

Did not know that was a thing. Makes sense in a way though.

Yeah, Amazon probably has a cheaper setup. I know they have some stuff, where you can get very cheap image hosting because it's along the lines of "we need to story this image and it'll see a fair bit of views initially, but after like a week, it'll be far less frequent. Then at some point, it's like many 1-3 views every year."

Plus, I wouldn't be surprised if Xenforo Cloud infrastructure was nowhere near what Amazon has. So they probably have a better economy of scale to get the costs down.

I'm 80% sure they are running on an Amazon cloud themselves. But they might not have it setup for the cheaper storage, or they might not be passing the savings on to us.

Also, it's possible that we send a mail to them and they're like "heck, here's an additional 100gb for 10$ a month" we just don't know.

Self-hosted XF can be set up to use AWS, there are instructions for it on the XF community forum. But it requires modifying config that, as a Cloud customer, we don't have access to. That's not to say it can't be done at the application layer via an addon, but it's not something I have the spoons for right now.

Good news, while the “official” fundraising drive has ended, the links in the OP will remain active for anyone who wants to donate to keep Coin Return running!

How do we adjust donations ? If I want to go from 5/mo to 10/mo how do I cancel my old and change?

Through Patreon? You should be able to do change it on your account page.

If it’s through PayPal directly, I think the only way is to cancel and do a new one. Or at least I don’t see anything obvious.

Thanks! I just found where they keep the recurring stuff and no adjustment. I think I'm going to switch to patreon or the other. No one beat me up in the time I cancel on paypal to the next one, I am slow.
