"You picked up an ancient and mysterious artifact! You can use it to hang from ceilings by pressing ZR."
In my mind, he was brought in to voice act the line. It took him13 tries before he stopped pronouncing it "zurr."
wow this new map was absurdly simple
Same and same. I did look up a guide (since honestly I can't be bothered for fucking 400 enemies) but it was basically "put some guys here and afk"
In the meanwhile, time to knock out the last two medals I have to get. I hit rank 120 during the Under Tides event, so now I just have two left. Have to finally go back and complete the chapter 8 H-levels and then grind Savage up to 200% Trust for the last paradox simulation medal.
I really need to restock on XP card things. They just go so fast
That's because they were rushed + size constraints. Some backstory:
So, Risky's Revenge was supposed to come out on GBA (was actually called Risky's Revolution at the time). For whatever reason it didn't happen (I'm assuming they couldn't find a publisher) so it just kind of stayed a tech demo of sorts. Then they finally released Risky's Revenge on the DSi-Ware store using a lot of the ideas they had developed for the GBA game. From the wiki article:
My guess here - the bulk of the game is actually episode 1. They had intended to do two more similarly-sized episodes but for whatever reason (budget?) everything was just crammed together. That's why you'll kind of notice the forest is like the only real dungeon and then the desert is like a boss rush tower and the mermaid stuff is all weird misc stuff. I'm pretty sure that's because both of those were intended to each be an episode but they had to stick *something* in there to tell their whole story so they did whatever they could manage in the time/money constraints they had. Plus they had to contend with the DSI-ware shop having an absurd ~50mb size limit (if I'm remembering right).
It's a real shame because the game *is* good but yeah, you can DEFINETLY feel how quick it just rushes through the second half.
By comparison, Shantae 1 and Pirate's Curse both had publishers so they are much, much more polished (though Shantae 1 is GBC and thus full of jank and also STUPID hard.. but it's definitely a full length game). I always kind of felt Half-Genie Hero had a bit of the Risky problem, likely due to the Kickstarter not funding all of the episodes they had planned (they got like 2/3 of them?), though it funded much more than Risky was able to do so it still felt decently sizable. And also Seven Sirens I haven't played enough to comment on :P (but I think it started as a mobile game and I can sorta kinda feel that...)
All that said, it was still actually the first Shantae game I played and I loved it enough to really get me into the series.
I just realized that in Zero Mission, Samus has the same effect, and probably for the same reasons.
I did like the dungeon with all the door puzzles.

We'll have to dig into the reserve fund to get a new bike as the supply is basically nonexistent and if we don't buy one right now we'll probably have to wait half a year and it's our main transport in the city, especially with the toddler.
Thinking about getting an alarm system and or GPS tracker this time around in addition to the locks.
What really gets me is that there was another e cargo bike 5 meters away, not locked to anything, board computer still on it and they took ours anyway.
The key to fixing Annihilation setups less boringly is to take note of the kill count where something occurred and then narrowing it down. Are you still good at 350 kills? Issues around 375? I had to fix a leak in the 375 to 400 countdown, it's honestly the only even slightly pressing segment.
It was around 375-380 or so, I'm not sure exactly, but that's probably a good idea. The problem is it doesn't happen every time, maybe like 1 in 10 or something. I've been trying to beef up the operators I'm using so they do more damage and hopefully solve that. I was assuming it was cuz the strat I followed used Rosmentus (or however her name is spelled) and mine was only like e2-40ish. I gave her like 15 levels and even M1'd the passive skill they said to use, but still had a leak today
Double check skill timing in that case. I guess if you're using a passive, it won't be wrong, though. Things to watch out for:
- Are people getting stunned at bad timing by hammers or those snipers?
- Are you using any skills that can have variable effects?
- Do you have any leeway in your placement to add a drop whose job it is to get their ass kicked at a key timing (see point 1)?
I am assuming yes to the third one. I brought a bunch of guys I'm not using for rep building so I can probably stick one of them in the way.
And yeah, everyone is just set to passive skills (I guess Thorns kinda isn't but I mean, you literally only need to click it twice). Specifically it's this:
Edit: Looking at this video again, holy shit 375 is a clusterfuck of guys. I honestly think I'm just getting overwhelmed there, especially by the chargey dudes that need 2 blocks to stop. I'm guessing my tanks are already busy blocking and one of those is getting through. The question is which lane tho... (I'm totally suspecting it's the right lane because my Blemishine is semi low and Siege can't block those charging guys at all)
For my run I had Siege and Lappland in front of my 3 block meat wall. Lappland to help stop the Agents from giving the -1 block debuff. but I had Eyja, Ifrit, Blaze, Siege S2, and Lappland all doing damage in the middle.
Angie as well, I forgot. Basically, I packed in a lot of damage to prevent leaks from the Agent debuff.
EDIT: after watching the video, even with her passive Ros doesn't do much damage to the Bully/Bulldozer. Might want to rearrange to fit Artes damage in to replace her.
As someone with an E2 S3M3 Rosmontis I'd really like to find somewhere that she could excel... but I just haven't.
Also for the contingency map for today, how do you guys handle the "on alert" mobs? I try to trigger them one or two at a time by using gravel/project red, but this seems a rather chaotic solution? Wondering if there is a better one.
I actually had that shitty 6* caster dude (for rep build) and used him as one of the dps. Honestly not *that* bad - he did an ok job of softening everyone up with his weak sauce AOE attacks. He was getting big groups of dudes down to like half health for when they actually started hitting the real tanks and dps.
I need me some vampire magic.

Next to level up SkadiALT and Gladiia.
Police actually found the bike during an operation! I can pick it up this Friday. And apparently condition seems to be okay? So that's a pleasant surprise.
I might get something like this for a start and fix it to the frame as a motion alarm
https://www.amazon.de/-/en/ABUS-Alarm-Box-Universal-Anti-Theft/dp/B088XH31H8/ref=sr_1_1?adgrpid=73840678791&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIyOSRxbeN9AIVy-R3Ch0Aewv1EAAYASAAEgJbFvD_BwE&hvadid=353085629909&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9044715&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=15255305818698404916&hvtargid=kwd-889873201802&hydadcr=24706_1722662&keywords=abus+alarmbox&qid=1636534925&sr=8-1
There are more complex options, with bluetooth unlock, or integrated into the lock and gps etc. but prices go up fast, so I'll have to look into that a bit more.
kinda related: lock my regular bike to a post yesterday, which rattled another bike locked to it and that one actually had an integrated alarm system. A glowing skull on the frame roaring at you.
This
I think I'll just go back to the shop for it.
If I don't get him from the G5 I'll make that purchase.
SO. MUCH. BOOB BOUNCING.
Like, even the elderly woman NPC in the main town has some boob bouncing, geez.
