Edit: Also I want to play the new DLC for Death's Gambit but it's not out on PS yet.

It's very fun. I didn't know what to expect, really. Just that it is loosely defined as a Metroidvania, and I've been on a bit of a Metroidvania kick lately, thanks to the Advance Collection and also thanks to Dread.
I actually never finished Aria of Sorrow. I need to get back to that. But right now, more Shantae!
Happy Blue Poison skin day!
This was the first CC that I have been basically completely blind for (as in I didn't even know what the map looked like); unfortunately risk 18 is relatively simple. Nothing really tricky, just set down busted operators and thorns/sutr/kal'tsit goes brrrrrr whenever the bosses show up. I might try for higher risk later in the week, some of the tags do look like they could be a pain to figure out.
i decided to do a different strat than guardknights
it got pretty sweaty tbh
edit: removed vid cause it accidentally contained audio from a stream i was watching while doing CC
With the game launching first on Apple arcade, it's unfortunately likely tuned for touchscreen controls. Some additional difficulty modes in the console releases would've been welcome.
just do whatever missions you can to get contingency contract currency
try to shoot for risk 8 on dailies, ideally doing the challenge at the same time (the mission that wants you to use a specific contract) but you can always do that one separately if the combination of contracts proves to be an especially large pain in the ass
risk 18 on the permanent is what you want to hit for max rewards but if you can't do that then just do the best you can
This is a pretty good overview on just how contingency contract works, but yeah basically just focus on trying to hit Risk 8 on the rotating daily map (rewards stop at risk 8 for the daily map, risk 18 for the permanent). You don't have to rush the permanent map at all; more contracts open up during week 2 that make getting risk 18 a lot easier (only reward for clearing risk 18 in the first week is a cosmetic trim for the event medal, the event currency stays the same).
Heaven help your soul if you ever play Half-Genie Hero.
Battery pack is still on the bike, just the little weather protection metal bit on its lock seems to be perforated. Gotta check if the battery still loads.
Wheel lock is ripped off, some scratches on the rim from that.
Large scratch on the frame and dinged up mudguard where the chain lock used to be.
Rain roof is gone, so that needs replacement
Gotta turn it in to the shop to have it checked out for any other potential issues.
And more insurance stuff...
Anyway. Looks like we got super lucky
Edit: another twist.
Literally even, because it turns out the whole frame is bent among other things and the bike's a write off. Back to square one
I had to look this up, and I'm at a total loss on how she's sexy. Like, she's still at least 50-75% scorpion, pinchers and stabby tail and all.
Though you get a fancy rainbow medal if you do rush the permanent map. I am still sad I missed out on one of those because I was being lazy and I didn't notice the trim
75%? You can still make that work.

Yes.
I mean, that's just science.
Apparently?
Like, I don't agree, but I also know why my opinion doesn't match up with the consensus. For me the nice-to-look-at nude woman from the hips or torso up doesn't eclipse the massive danger coming from the rest of the monster half of said woman. Because also for me, just being nude and female doesn't automatically make something sexy. This isn't meant as some superior stance either; nudity's just not default sexy for me personally.
Also a source of one of my favorite PA comics.

See I want to think this is cool but my OCD always kicks in when people do these sprite demakes :P
Also I really, really hate the enemy sprite design :P (the wolves look so weird, like mutant pigs, and also too big for the NES to handle without massive slowdown) And there's no way in hell Death would not be like a 3x4 sprite or something. Other stuff like the blocky drawbridge design is weird to me... I mean, even Castlevania 1's drawbridge looked better.... :P The NES can do slopes :P Also some of the backgrounds are good and some are like Commodore 64 levels of basic. It's weird. The Castlevania series is known for having gorgeous background art...
Then I get even more picky and start complaining about color palette choice being unrealistic and the very badly "digitized low-rez scan of artwork" for title screen (the thumbnail :P). I'd have to double check for sure but at least this one I think gets points for using proper NES colors and not using too many colors per sprite (maybe, I didn't check thoroughly :P But no sprite should be using more than 3 colors per 8x8 tile)
But don't mind me
got S3M3 started for Kal as well, I'm tired of farming the new materials. went through my stores from events and the story stages for them are rather lame.
def been harder ccs, this one was kicking my ass until i remembered how the two bosses at the end actually work.

Honestly this one wasn't that bad except for the two bosses at the end.
Those are quite nice, what were you using for camera?
Those are significantly cropped down from the original images, the sky was partly cloudy here (fortunately not in front of the moon), but the air was still pretty hazy so they aren't as sharp as it might be and it didn't seem worth getting out anything bigger. It's always a bit annoying when I can see the image shimmering around in the viewfinder, but it does tell me what I can expect.
These couple were tracked, though, I built an equatorial platform that goes under the base of the telescope to keep things 'still' enough for darker subjects:
